Our CLO, Bruce Fekrat did a great job speaking at the American Law Institute's Accountants' Liability Conference last Friday.
They discussed the emergence of prediction markets as a new asset class and role of major accounting firms in driving audit and accounting standards for a newly federally regulated ecosystem during the Crypto and Prediction Markets: Navigating Regulatory Uncertainty and Liability Risk session.
Great conference @AmLawInst!

Thank you for this. I’m Sharing with my son who plays football as well and just finished his freshman year at Columbia.
He’s pretty much echoed your sentiment about working in finance and has decided against majoring in that. I still believe there is tremendous value in an Ivy education but the landscape is changing daily.
Follow your passion outwork your colleagues and always honor God and you will always find success and happiness. Wishing you all the success and happiness.

This is the only “negative” criticism (if you want to call it such) I’ve gotten that I think is actually warranted on this post.
We are losing our sense of country and community as a society. I try to do as much as I can to support our military members outside of my day job.
Thank you for your service

6 years ago today, I graduated from UPenn with a double major in Marketing and Legal Studies.
I thought an Ivy League education as well as an athletics background (football) would immediately set me up for success and give me the knowledge needed to win in the real world. I thought at the time that being an Ivy League grad meant more.
I couldn’t have been more wrong.
Over the course of the next 4 years, I worked multiple jobs that didn’t lead anywhere. Desk jobs that left me bored and needing a creative outlet. Occupations that paid the bills, but at the end of the day I just wasn’t passionate about. I watched my friends who moved to NYC and took cushy finance jobs buy houses and fly private to their preferred destinations quarterly, but I was unwilling to sell my soul to the suits and knew deep down that they weren’t enjoying their lives either (for the most part, a few of them are just psychos).
I knew I wanted to work in sports.
This was what led me to create my Twitter page and build connections with so many of you. It was something that I initially viewed as a silly hobby that I didn’t want to talk about in public. In reality, it made me more qualified for my current role than any of my business law classes senior year of college.
For 2 years straight I posted every day, usually with multiple plays. I did it the correct way, celebrating wins and amplifying my losses so that people were aware it wasn’t always easy street. I believed that authenticity and honesty would take me further than charging for picks and lying on recaps, and god am I glad I was smart enough at that time to make that decision. It wasn’t always the easy decision, but it allowed me to look back and be proud of this page.
Moral of the story: passion will fuel your performance, not a diploma. The days of an Ivy League graduation being a status symbol are gone, and there are no excuses anymore. Do something you love, do it the right way, and do it well.
If you’ve read this far: go out and do the crazy thing you’ve been wanting to try but haven’t. This page started with 0 followers. Thanks to a few great friends, a little luck, and multiple years of work, I’m now in the position I am in and get to work an incredible job for @PlayProphetX.
Never settle. You only get one chance at this, and it’s supposed to be fun.

DEVELOPING STORY 🧵
The Power of ProphetX and X 🤝
Yesterday two people on X were discussing a sportsbook offering Rudy Gobert to make 1+ Three Pointer at +2700 and not offering the under on the market.
We put the market up for them so they could trade at an agreed upon price and the trader that wanted the under, had the ability to do so.
The two agreed on a price of +5000 and an offer for 2000 was placed to win 100K.
70K+ of the offer has been filled and the rest is available in the market.
Markets should ALWAYS be two ways and there’s a reason sportsbooks only offer one side of a market.
Trade smarter, have the ability to take NO on any market and get WAY BETTER odds only on ProphetX.
