@wongmjane Woah timing – I mentor at my grad uni & a couple PhD female founders I met are working to make home air purifier exactly for this – filtering CO2 from room.
Sent DM. Finding support is valuable for founders both practically+emotionally. Open to guidance convo w them sometime?

Humbled to be a featured attendee of this year's Camp Hustle event for investors! 😍☺️ This is one of the best collections of incredible human beings you can find, who give first & help founders reach their dreams.

One thing I’ve seen change over the years is what is important at events. I’ve watched tons of great speakers at in-person events. But now w/ YouTube, it’s not *that* different from watching them online. But meeting great people IRL? That’s what makes or breaks an event now. More >>

Hi @jdgregson! Thank you for raising this! Sorry for the delay as I’ve been out temporarily on medical.
To make Fences’ system extension possible, Fences makes use of SetWindowsHookEx, which facilitates extension of the shell by loading a module globally into non-administrator processes. Fences being loaded in @Bitwarden is just a facet of how this API works, but I do agree that this doesn’t leave a good impression given the context. I took a look and it looks like - while technically we’d still load in the process for a blip, we can use DllMain and return false to abort completion of our module's load into that process, and can look at doing that for other similarly-sensitive processes as well.
Thanks for bringing this up and sorry for any alarm this may have caused!

@jdgregson @Stardock @Bitwarden Hey Jonathan,
I reached out to our dev team to get an answer to this...will follow up shortly.
English

Oh look, my desktop organization utility from @Stardock is hooking into my password manager @Bitwarden. I'm sure there is a good reason for it to be doing that.

@dunkhippo33 Easy to say when it’s a small check like I write, I realize. But hopefully it’s feasible for larger ones to participate in this mentality a bit also.
English

@dunkhippo33 This. Wisdom.
Have had this convo several times also — some with the framing of supporting either continuing or putting on ice, others for supporting winding down. Zero self-interest angle. It’s about them and their path to success.

Respect PG but this is a super old and archaic take
Yes intros are good but using cold emails as a NEGATIVE signal is crazy
Venture as an asset class needs to become more open not closed off
Plus founders now come from anywhere in the world not a 10 block radius in SF / SV
We take all cold emails @panoramicvc

@hardimanjames @Cruise Expanded hours and geo rolling out to public customers soon!
DM me if you are on paid rides. I can expand your ODD.
English

OK that was nuts.
I was just driven by a fully driverless @Cruise car through crazy downtown SF in daytime.
I’ve taken hundreds of rides but my mind is still blown. I can summon this thing 24/7 all across the city now.

@icgee @lfingalsurma @SFBART This looks great!
Reliable 20min wait times def meaningful in terms of willingness to plan trip, vs “ohhh just missed it…30-35min” 🥲

The more I look at @SFBART’s updated service, the more I love it. It’s really responsive to where the riders are and the types of trips that are coming back most post-pandemic. Best of if all, I’ll never have to wait more than 20 minutes for a train - even at night! That’s HUGE

BIG NEWS - BART staff have figured out how to increase evening/weekend frequencies to 20 min from 30 min, without hiring more staff or spending more money. No more 30 minute waits!!!🎉🎉🎉 🧵 with details:
