@gman416 Been very reliant on the home run to score much of the season except when opposing pitcher is giving away free bases. Last night was another example - all runs via the home run.
Alabama opens the scoring with back-to-back home runs from Eric Hines and John Lemm, the same batters who homered last night. Bama leads, 3-0, after the first inning: tennessean.com/story/sports/c…
@VUFAN001@vandy_62 I think 4 of last 7 batters had reached base against Fennell and there had been some hard contact. Not saying I liked the decision, but I understand it.
What a decision for corbs to make pulling the starter on his 70th pitch of the game pitching fabulously the pitche replaces him walks a guy he struck out twice and gets pulled then the subsequent pitcher gives up a HR to tie the game MAKE IT MAKE SENSE.
@AuricGoldfnger Re bullpen, I think the thought process there is that you think you’ll lose the game if you give up 1 run so you’re doing everything you can match up wise to prevent that. Only move that really surprised me there was removing Seiber. Figured he would have to go multiple endings.
I know very little about baseball, relatively speaking. Most of you know far more than I, as do the coaches. There's two things I don't understand about today's game (legit asking):
1. Why do you not pinch hit for Reynolds in that spot?
2. What is the rationale for the frequent substitutions on the mound in the last few innings?
@AuricGoldfnger I’m just guessing, but Reynolds had already had an AB against Cozart and put a decent swing on the ball in that AB lining out to SS. You’d also be bringing in someone who has barely played all weekend or not at all.
@gman416 He was great today. Unlucky that 3 of those 4 hits came in same inning. Thought Faulkner was going to wiggle out of that jam in the 10th. Pitch clock violation seemed to derail things.
@EdmontonOilers@sentinelstorage Gave up 16 goals over last 8 regular season games. Already 16 given up in 3 playoff games. Blown 4 leads in 3 games. What is going on?
@AndrewHarris17@KIngramSports My boys and I got those blankets that looked like a uniform and we did in fact use them at the game (due to poor weather planning by me). Agree they were a great promotional giveaway.
@TitanUP_15@AuricGoldfnger@gman416@JHHenderson@aria_gerson Malcom spent two years at Tampa, one at Michigan State (only 4 ABs there) and finished at NAIA Warner. He played in 3 games for independent minor league Boise Hawks last year. Fentress only played one more college season (with limited ABs) at Nevada.
