Disappointed to see the federal government reject funding for the $25M Camp Shawnigan rebuild. I submitted strong letters of support for both the Easter Seals and Inclusive Recreation funding applications because this project is exactly the kind of community investment Ottawa should be backing. Camp Shawnigan provides accessible recreation for local kids who deserve the chance to experience the outdoors — regardless of their background or means. The case was clear — and we made it. This decision doesn't end the fight. I'll continue pushing for Camp Shawnigan to get the support it needs and deserves. #CampShawnigan #EasterSeals #InclusiveRecreation

Today in Vancouver with a beautiful backdrop, we made it clear: this government is failing Canadians. The Cowichan decision has created chaos—home values falling, banks refusing mortgages, communities divided. But reconciliation and private property rights don’t have to compete. They’re both essential to a stable Canada. The Prime Minister has a choice: lead with clarity and unite us, or watch division deepen. Our community is watching. British Columbia is watching. Canada is waiting for real leadership.

During Mental Health Awareness Month, I want to highlight Connection to Care, a new free, anonymous, and confidential mental health support program for BC forestry workers. Launched by the BC Forest Safety Council in partnership with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors and the BC Municipal Safety Association, this initiative helps ensure workers have access to timely support during periods of uncertainty and stress. It's now official — the Liberals are grounding the Snowbirds. No replacement ready until the 2030s. This after spending $30 million of taxpayer money just years ago to "upgrade" the aircraft to keep them flying. For Vancouver Island, this hits close to home. The Comox Valley is the Snowbirds' home away from home every spring — and our community knows better than most what this iconic team means to Canada. Over 50 years of service. An irreplaceable recruiting tool for the Canadian Armed Forces. And the government had 11 years to find a replacement — and dragged their feet. To make matters worse? They plan to replace our Canadian-made CT-114 Tutor jets with foreign-made propeller planes — making Canada the only major NATO ally without high-performance jets in this role. I'll be pressing the government for answers when Parliament resumes next week. Canadians deserve them. ✈️🇨🇦
