That’s a wrap! For one week, Exercise KRATOS partnered the 🇬🇷 Navy and 🇨🇦 @RCAF in the recently established advanced anti-submarine warfare (ASW) force generation collaboration between our forces. KRATOS focused on strengthening our combined operational readiness.

CAF members from @NORADCommand participated in #ArcticEdge26 (Feb 23–Mar 13) with their @USNorthernCmd partners 🇨🇦🇺🇸 #AE26 strengthens Arctic readiness, cruise missile defence, and the protection of the North American homeland. ✈️❄️ #ARCTICEDGE26 #ArcticSecurity #AlwaysVigilant

All three squadrons will remain at their present Wings, but their primary role will shift to supporting domestic operations within Canada. They will continue in their traditional role of personnel recovery at their respective Wings as a secondary duty.

Three Royal Canadian Air Force squadrons are being re-focused to domestic operations. The RCAF’s three Combat Support Squadrons—439 Squadron at 3 Wing Bagotville; 417 Squadron at 4 Wing Cold Lake; and 444 Squadron at 5 Wing Goose Bay—are now Domestic Response Squadrons.

Today we’re announcing a strategic partnership with @Telesat and @MDA_space to deliver secure and reliable military satellite communications in the Arctic through the Enhanced Satellite Communications Project – Polar.

CANR stands ready! During #GlobalGuardian, CANR fighter aircraft worked alongside ANR & CONR to intercept a @USSTRATCOM Bomber Task Force acting as a simulated threat demonstrating the ability to rapidly respond to threats across the North American aerospace. @NORADCommand

On 12 Nov, JRCC tasked 103, and 413 #SAR squadrons Gander and Greenwood for a helicopter crash near Burgeo, Newfoundland. Everyone was rescued and transported to hospital in good condition. #RESCUE

🚁On November 11, 2025, members of 1 Wing supporting the Basic Tactical Aviation Course joined veterans for a moving Remembrance Day Ceremony hosted by 438 Tactical Helicopter Squadron in Saint-Hubert, Quebec.

AFNORTH members & interagency partners participated with @DEFENSAmx and @RCAF #CANR counterparts in Exercise AMALGAM EAGLE 25, a live-fly air defense exercise Oct 28-29. This year marked #NORAD’s Canadian Region and therefore Canada’s inaugural participation, enhancing readiness for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

This training ensures maritime SAR readiness throughout the year, in all kinds of challenging weather and sea states. Thanks to all our #SARPartners

The Squadron spent an intensive week training to hoist Search and Rescue Technicians to and from vessels and liferafts, while extracting simulated casualties.

Members of the RCAF’s 103 SAR Squadron, @CoastGuardCAN and Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary have concluded the annual maritime extraction exercise known as “Boat Camp” held off the coast of St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador.
