What if America is already far richer than anyone in the swamp is allowed to admit? What if the real drag on the Republic isn’t taxes, isn’t debt, isn’t even the deficit, it’s Europe? What if NATO was never a mutual defense pact, but a 75-year subscription America forgot to cancel? What if “burden sharing” is the most expensive euphemism in the English language? What if the City of London cabal is draining our banks? What if the advice from globalists is terrible advice that’s costing us big? What if every European basing agreement, every forward-deployed brigade, every Ramstein runway, every Aviano hangar, every Souda Bay pier is a tax American workers pay so Berlin can run a welfare state and Paris can run a 35-hour week? What if foreign aid to Europe isn’t aid, it’s tribute, flowing the wrong way? What if transporting the vast majority of trade on European owned ships costs more than we realize? What if the NGO archipelago in Brussels, Geneva, and The Hague is just a money-laundering loop where US taxpayer dollars get rinsed through a “civil society” conference and returned as lectures about our democracy? What if the UN isn’t a parliament of man, it’s a Manhattan timeshare with diplomatic plates, an accounting black hole, and a Human Rights Council chaired by people who’d jail you for tweeting this? What if “the rules-based international order” was always code for: Americans build it, Americans pay for it, Americans bleed for it, and Europeans grade it? What if $36 trillion in debt looks a lot smaller the second you stop underwriting a continent that sneers at you in three languages? What if you zeroed out the Europe line, the NATO line, the UN line, the NGO line, and woke up tomorrow in a country with the fiscal headroom to rebuild every shipyard, every foundry, every rail line, and every Navy hull we’ve let rot since the Cold War ended? What if American tourists went to American cathedrals, American opera, American museums, American cities instead. I’m not saying I believe all of it. I’m saying maybe, just maybe, we could pay down all our debt and wouldn’t have to pay taxes at all if we cut Europe loose.

The United Arab Emirates are a better American ally than the United Kingdom. Think about that for a moment.

Canadians have had the luxury of US security which has allowed us to call them vulgar, ignorant, violent and beneath us. All the while they have built Microsoft, Apple, sent men to the moon, gave us Hollywood which gobbled up our talent, built the strongest military in history, built a society that attracted the best and brightest from around the world, spent more on alliances and aid than the world combined and created Silicon Valley, Ivy League schools and the best hospitals in the world. This under different Presidents and parties. While Canada debates a rail project that will never exist and bemoans what the Avro arrow could have been the US is sending a rocket to the moon and rescued an airman in a Hollywood style operation all in the same week. Canada can't rest on Vimy ridge or Juno Beach any longer. We need to recapture what we once were. We can no longer afford our arrogance based on nothing tangible. Our superiority complex now comes off as insecurity and jealousy.

X today- Americans saying they are tired of subsidizing our NATO allies to pay for their good time- Europeans respond by saying Americans are crass, stupid, barbaric, loser idiots who should shut up and keep paying for Europe’s national defense because they’ve got free government healthcare and magic unicorn renewable energy which makes them superior, while Americans are all fat and have school shootings. We don’t need you uncultured American swine, because we’ve got two whole working ships and four and a half airplanes, and that’s plenty since we aren’t warmongers like you American trash. So yeah, that’s totally gonna sway some Americans right there. Good luck with that.

As an Iranian watching this rescue mission unfold, I was praying the American pilot would make it out alive, not just for him, but so the Islamic Republic could not use him as a bargaining chip or claim some twisted “victory.” At the same time, I felt a deep envy. Your government sent elite special forces, million-dollar aircraft, and moved heaven and earth to bring one American home. No hesitation. No excuses. In Iran, the regime uses human shields and recruited child soldiers to clear minefields during the Iran-Iraq war. They treat their own people like disposable tools. They are now recruiting child soldiers as we speak. The Islamic Republic has zero regard for human life. That’s the brutal difference. One side risks everything to save their own. The other sacrifices their own to stay in power. This hits hard when you have lived under both realities.

The NYT published a link to critical original reporting on Iran 45 minutes ago. A good, fair story. They have 53m followers. The engagement metrics you display say they got 94 likes and 33 retweets out of that. Is that accurate? And if so, shouldn't you work on a better algo?

I do not like the island. I think we are supposed to, but I just don't like it.
