I did some more scenarios with SCO and ECO probabilities for my county. Based on probability it is much more a price protection tool than yield protection for my situation.

🚨 UPDATE: IT’S GETTING WORSE I pulled up last week’s top insider trades. Look at the image. A Walton just dumped $1 BILLION in Walmart stock. RCL directors filed FIVE separate sales in one week. MSI’s CEO sold on back-to-back days. META’s CFO sold multiple times. GOOG affiliates filed SIX proposed sales. Now scroll down that entire list. Almost every single line is red. There is ONE buy out of 40+ transactions. The people who know the most are selling the fastest. I’ll keep tracking insider moves, and I’ll keep you updated like I always do. 2020-21: first large corn stocks revision 2022- 23 WCB basis and USDA just dont add 2025 basis simply doest jive with usda (suggests last year higher crop) 2025 first ever large area revision im going on a limb, but maybe, just maybe a collapse in farmer survey participation is a problem

What's the bigger problem, having too much food to eat or not having enough? Those are the two problems the U.S. and China will be dealing with. China must figure out what to do with all its extra food, whereas starving Americans will be struggling to scrounge up their next meal.

@thefarmerslife This can be looked at a lot of different ways but from 17-20 the gov was paying the farmer to keep prices lower for the US economy. From 21-24 inflation payed the farmer while the gov spent your money outside the USA.

@garysavage1 I know this may not be your thing but I’d love to see your interpretation of the ag (corn, beans, wheat) markets as they sit now.

Here's the reality. SIL (a good proxy for a basket of silver miners has been stagnant for the last 3 months until today. The signal that a period of consolidation or correction was coming appeared on April 12th. So we took our profits in the metals at that time (huge profits as we were leveraged for a chunk of the move from March 1 to April 12th). We started looking for other sectors to trade while the consolidation or correction ran it's course. We've been trading semis and energy. Semis are up 25% during this period and oil is up 6% from our entry. People are acting like we missed something. We didn't miss anything, and in fact we've made good money while tunnel visioned gold bugs have been stagnant. We put on a low risk gold trade last week and we will ride that until it does something wrong. If I think this has the potential to trend for awhile then we will get more aggressive but I'm not convinced that is the case just yet.
