Asked Tommy Lloyd what his message is to Tucson after Arizona’s historic season? Take a minute and read/watch this ❤️💙
"Thank you. I mean, thank you. Thank them for everything. Obviously we're disappointed we weren't able to get it over the top for them. But I think we all saw what's possible again.
So now let's all roll up our sleeves and support each other and see if we can make this a normal thing. That would be awesome for me.
You sit around and you dream as a coach or you think, and these narratives in the media all get created that you can't be in the big one, whatever. You get upset in the tournament.
Well, I thought one day, man, I can't wait until we get to a Final Four, because I knew we would, but can't wait until we get there just so I could maybe just coach and I don't have to worry about any of your guys' narratives or anything.
But then the first thing that popped to my head was like, one Final Four? Why don't we go five times in 10 years? I mean, that's where my mind's at. You know, I'm going to do it day by day. But that's my big dream. I mean, who knows?
Maybe you guys will use that against me saying that some day, but I'm going to dream big, and I'm going to work my ass off to try to make it happen."

A common thing I’m hearing in these recent phy/dig debates is digital guys only want to pump to offload.
I have nothing listed for sale on any platform.
My Top Shot stuff is locked up until October at a minimum, most longer.
Of course I want to see more digital collectors, but mostly because I think it’s a great experience. I hope more people learn about it and give it a try.
Values will do what they do. Even without on-boarding a bunch of physical collectors I’m very confident in the long-term value prop.
Many of us feel this way. We’re not here to sell you our stuff—we’re trying to tell you about something cool.

I’ve seen a lot of posts lately from NFT boys talking smack about cardboard collectors that run into issues…
- Buying fake cards / slabs and getting scammed
- Dealing with all the breakers getting the stacked boxes and a lot of the supply
- Stuff getting lost in the mail and ppl losing a lot of valuable cards in fires and shit
- Cardboard boys not knowing what’s left in packs and no way to track anything
For the sake of #thehobby I think this needs to STOP.
I know being polarizing is the way to get engagement, I know being contrarian boosts your views, I know pointing out the ways digital is “better” is easy to do…
But you’re just pushing cardboard collectors away from the digital world.
Especially when you poke fun at their pain points…
These pain points drive them crazy and potentially affect their livelihood or at the very least, make their hobby less enjoyable.
I know it might seem like a good “marketing opportunity” but I don’t think it actually gets them to look at digital seriously
Maybe I’m wrong… IDK
I collect physical, mostly I rip packs.
But I collect mostly digital sports cards on the #PaniniBlockchain and I have to be honest with you…
I’m not 100% sure these NFTs are the future of collecting.
I’m not 100% sure these NFTs are gonna be worth a ton of money in the future.
I’m not 100% sure these NFTs are gonna be highly sought after in the next 1, 3, 5, 10, 20 years.
I feel “safer” holding my Cooper Flagg on card auto I ripped from a Topps Flaggship
Mega long term.
That being said, I do really enjoy collecting Panini NFTs, whether I’m ripping packs, buying singles I like, or building sets.
I love the community and I love how transparent and frictionless it all is.
BUT it’s not for everyone…
If you don’t see the long term potential of digital collectibles / NFTs that’s ok.
You might miss out, you might be right and you can say “I told you so” to all those NFT bros on X that bash cardboard.
I LOVE ripping physical packs. There’s nothing that digital does right now that can replace that.
Feeling the pack, ripping it open, that sweet cardboard smell, fanning out the cards to see the edges hoping for that gold, black, whatever…
Physical isn’t going anywhere and digital might not last.
There also might be a much bigger upside collecting digital right now than physical.
Nobody knows for certain.
What I know for certain is that both sides of the hobby dont need to be fighting all the time about which is better.
There’s room for both. Simple as that.
Let’s just try not to be so polarizing. We’re all in this for similar reasons. Let’s lift up the hobby as a whole. Collect what you love.

Change is coming, no matter what anyone's opinion is. The hobby necessitates transparency and provability. Higher motivation + better counterfeit techniques will wreck havoc on traditional physical card ecosystems/markets.
Boston Card Hunter@BosCardHunter
@natsturner @PSAcard This is incredible. And these are the cards that people thought were good enough to submit to Psa. From my experience on the street it’s more like 75% fake. In fact, I’ve probably had 250 people asked me about these cards over the years. How many were real? 5 … just 5

It’s as clear as day, that as time goes by, new collectors will be given a choice between physical & digital & almost all of them will choose digital. In 15 yrs, people will crack up that cardboard, outside of a select niche, was as big as it was. @NBATopShot

A sports card isn’t valuable because it’s cardboard, or somethng u can touch, it’s valuable because people agree it is. Digital assets work exact same way. If value came from the physical material, a sports card would be worth pennies. Value comes from shared belief. @nbatopshot

A small beauty that we take for granted in digital collecting – instant liquidity.
A collector jumped on the secondary marketplace and grabbed a sealed Freshman Gems Case Topper pack for $625 – the original owner was able to cash out their investment with a nice monetary gain and the buyer took a shot.
The Reveal: #1 Freshman Gems Kon Knueppel 💎
There was already a standing $1,900 offer on the Moment, but within minutes, another buyer slid in and grabbed it for $2,007.
On-chain transparency, instantly settled, all in under an hour.
The market moves at internet speed, not postal speed.
No grading backlog or 'lottery' on grade.
No shipping risk.
No “lost in the mail.”
No insurance claims or chargebacks.
No wondering if the corner got dinged in transit.
No return fraud.
No “item not as described.”
No worrying about scamming from the buyer after delivery.
Just instant provenance, instant liquidity, and instant flex.
