@robfig @jonathankennell I like using the HTML <form> element with React to get nice submit behavior (press enter or click <button type=“submit”>), but agree that I prefer controlled components instead of uncontrolled, including for forms.

@markgurman Apple splits the calendar year into thirds for product launches. Early (Jan-Apr), Mid (May-Aug), and Late (Sep-Dec), which is how Macs used to be named (e.g., MacBook Pro Mid 2014). I expect Apple Vision Pro to ship in March or April (Apple rarely ships products in Jan/Feb).

I’m not saying the Vision Pro will follow the same trajectory, but the Apple Watch was announced as going on sale in “early 2015” and didn’t arrive until the end of April.

@rjonesy If Twitter is going to launch an ad-free plan, then why not let subscribers of that plan use 3rd party apps? There is no additional revenue to be gained by using the official Twitter app (unlike the ad-supported paid tier).

Another reason he killed 3rd party apps. Twitter is launching their own ad-free plan.

@drbarnard Turns out I received an email from them last night (which went into my Promotions mailbox and I didn’t see until just now) asking me to fill out a W-9 form, so I just replied asking them to confirm my address before I continue to hopefully avoid this issue.

If you’re in a similar situation with an old address on your W-9, email info@smallappdeveloperassistance.com. They seem completely overloaded and took over a week to respond, so it might be worth waiting until closer to November 18th when new checks can be issued.

Dammit, Jarom seems to be correct here (about the address issue, not necessarily the malintent). I just got an email an hour ago saying that the checks were mailed to addresses I haven’t used in years. I will now have to wait 30 days an sign an affidavit to get a new check issued

@jcieplinski It seems to happen mostly commonly with T-Mobile, but there were reports of people on other carriers having the same issue.
