@Smasagaming Donkey Kong Bananza, because it’s just a fun and destructive game, I love the little story of the journey to the planet core and the twist at the end was next level. It’s the best DK game in years. Tomodachi Life is also good too!

Question: For Switch 2 players, what is your favorite game on the Switch 2 console and why?

@JefftheBeff69 I agree. And I think Nintendo are doing a lot with the avatars to say "yep, we still like puppets. Now the AR avatars are the puppets and you get to the be the puppeteer". Do you think you'd use GameChat with these?

People keep saying the new Star Fox lost the old puppet soul. They’re wrong. The puppets didn’t disappear. They just changed hands. On Switch 2 the GameChat avatars are the puppets now. The same expressive, theatrical models that made the comms screen in 64 feel alive. Only this time you’re not watching them perform. You’re the puppeteer. Your real head movements, mouth, eyes and eyebrows drive those faces in real time. Your smirk becomes Falco’s swagger. Your raised brow becomes Peppy’s disapproval. The nervous energy you bring moves through Slippy exactly the way it should. This is the most puppet-like Star Fox has ever been. Not because the models look retro, but because the core relationship has flipped. The characters used to emote at you from a briefing screen. Now you wear them. You control the performance. You decide how much attitude, how much nervousness, how much cool lands in every transmission. If you think this remake has no puppet DNA left, you’re looking in the wrong place. The puppet DNA isn’t in the rail shooting or the updated graphics. It’s in the fact that Nintendo just gave you the strings. What do you think? Are the GameChat avatars the purest expression of Star Fox’s theatrical roots we’ve ever had, or am I overcooking it and this is just a fun gimmick that happens to use the old character models? Which pilot are you puppeteering first? Does wearing their face actually make the game feel more alive to you, or does it feel like the series lost something only the original games captured?

Mario kart world being $80. The problem is that no matter how much they add to the game or how much dlc this game gets and how good it happens to be, it still sets a bad precedent that games CAN be $80 at launch, especially when $70 games started not too long ago.

Switch 2 is easily going to sell the most. PS6 and Project Helix are going to be like $1,000 each

I have a coworker just like this. Thinks the rest of us are weird for playing games and loudly sighs or tries to change the subject when we get into a conversation about it. She's also admitted that she spends 5+ hours a day scrolling tiktok.

@jiggylookback If the controls were analog and players had a choice and not forced on the motion controls, this would have been an amazing game! And I still think it deserves a port with analog controls for Switch 2.

I really don’t like this line of thinking. It’s like telling me a show gets good, but you have to get through the first two seasons of not so good to get to it. If the gameplay doesn’t capture you within the first few levels…it wasn’t the best choice. Don’t tell me it’s me.

@AussieGamr Just to correct you, Star Fox will be a Switch 2 exclusive and will not have a switch 1 version. You can connect locally with other switch 2’s and even Switch 1 but multiplayer only.

Star Fox is getting a full 4v4 online Battle Mode for the first time ever. It’s coming with the Switch 2 version on June 25, including three dedicated stages, private lobbies, and the ability to play against CPU if you don’t want to go online. They’re clearly trying to give the game some multiplayer staying power. Star Fox has always been at its best as a solo experience for most people. Adding proper 4v4 battles feels like a pretty significant shift in direction. Would you actually play this Battle Mode, or do you think Star Fox should stay single player focused? And if you would play it, what would make it worth your time?

@IceTrainerBen It’s one of my favorite platformers and is still regarded as one of Mario’s best 3D games in recent years. Played it from start to finish myself many times since it came out in 2017. Very much worth playing IMO it’s a beautiful game.

I always hear about Mario Odyssey being peak but I’ve never heard about what you even do in it or seen any gameplay

@IceTrainerBen It has tons of big shiny moons! Oooooooo shiny moons! Distributed across a small number of small worlds but THERES SO MANY MOONS!!!! Thats it. Thats the game. It fakes having substance by having a horrible number of meaningless rewards There's actually nothing to love

@AussieGamr Definitely because there are exclusive DK themed nostalgic trophies of different characters from past games that are sadly date time locked and they become lost if you miss out on the dates and times to get them :( a bit frustrating, but the mode is a fun time.

@AussieGamr Right now I’m enjoying Tomodachi Life. Blew away my expectations! And before that I was deep in Hyrule Warriors Age of Imprisonment and DK Bananza, which I need to get back into and explore the Rogue-like mode more Emerald Rush which I was enjoying! 💚

I’m sorry, but I’ve raged quite a bit at games in my time, full blown yelling ginger rage, but I will NEVER and I mean NEVER be capable of having such a lack of a handle on my emotions, that equipment is destroyed. And I will never respect people who do this to their stuff.
