The scary thing about Azula is that we never even saw her prime… she was only 14 and already one of the greatest firebenders in history. Her prime would’ve been genuinely unstoppable.

Getting stabbed doesn't cook your insides.
The plasma produces heat that is contained within the magnetic field of the blade until it makes contact with something. When someone is stabbed, the field breaks only where the blade touches them, and the flesh is cauterized instantly. The magnetic field contains the majority of the heat along the rest of the blade that isn't touching anything.
Even Qui-Gon was laying on the floor for a couple minutes and was able to talk to Obi-Wan. His insides were not cooked as Snipey claims.
How does this work when we see lightsabers melting metal doors? Because its another galaxy and its a fantasy story.

@azulaservant Zuko in S1 didn't behave "like a guy with a redemption arc" right up until they revealed his motivations.
He is redeemable because he sought good things (love, honor) the wrong way. Azula wanted power and control. Even her hatred of her mother is rooted in that!

I think Azula redemption arc feels much cooler than a zuko redemption arc to me bc she does not behave how ppl think victims need to behave/have low empathy so ppl assume this means she is inherently evil

I forgot how much chemistry Bail and Mon had, and rewatching this made me wonder about their relationship/backstory. It’s the first time it occurred to me that Bail is maybe the only person Mon has trusted since Day 1. That “I just can’t go with you… not yet” is so charged.

@KachySZN I think there is a misconception here. He attained a level in each of those disciplines that the latter Avatars never did on screen. He lived in a time of relative peace and was able to become a true MASTER of air before moving on to water etc.

What makes Luke’s portrayal in this film so unbearable is Rian actively makes him a caricature of his self and then reverses it at the *VERY* end of the film… before killing him off.
The way Luke’s depicted for the majority of the film is naturally what’ll stick with people.

I think it's funny that people still take issue with the line "You think what? I'm gonna walk out with a laser sword and face down the whole First Order?" as if it were the narrative conclusion of this film. He literally does that at the end! He faces the whole First Order all by himself! The point is that the character had to rediscover his faith and his strength throughout this film. It's a powerful thing to see someone rise from their lowest point to their greatest strength.
