#SF9 #Youngbin YT Live, 260425, "Goodbye Bin HaeRang." Part 1 of 2. He is so sweet--we haven't had an earnest, heartfelt Youngbin live like this in forever
There are two parts of the live (one cut off). I'll link as I go.
First live (3+ minutes): youtube.com/live/j6sLY4nCz…
He came on doing lip trills (vocal warm-ups) and said hello. He adjusted the look of the live--framing, lighting, etc. He just finished his last Secretly, Greatly performance, ate dinner, came to the company, and turned on the live.
Someone in the comments said, "It's dangerous to ski on Youngbin's nose bridge." (Meaning that his nose is steep and straight). He replied very seriously, "Beginners shouldn't come up here. This is a top-level section, so yes, please go down, beginners." Someone in the comments did a play on words that he read: It's a high level course "aju ko-gup kkosumnida." (ko is the way nose sounds in korean).
He said he was in a meeting room. He wasn't planning to turn on the air conditioner. Then he had some trouble with the reception and the live cut off.
Second live, 1 hr 15 min (I only did the first 35 min in this post) youtube.com/live/wroF_1pE0…
When he came back on, he said he turned off the wifi to try to fix the connection issues and cut himself off. He ended up turning on the overhead light because he thought it looked better.
He said it was nice to see everyone again. He said "I'm Youngbin who just finished the Secretly, Greatly performance. The last performance." He thought today was the day he should've had his best performance, but actually, he can't really remember it. He almost never remembers his performances. It's like magic, how he doesn't remember. There was an ad-lib in today's performance that was funny, though. (he explained it, but I haven't seen any clips so I'm not sure if this interpretation is correct--did Chayoung (sp?) hyung rap part of Youngbin's Love Race part? it sounded like maybe--YB said that the audience reaction was really good.) Anyway, YB says that when the performance is over, those kinds of audience reactions make the play feel more lively, they "make it more vivid and breathe life into it." Essentially, every time audience reactions are good, YB gets strength from it as he performs. He doesn't want to ask people to react--that seems forced--but he tries to make it so everyone can laugh on their own, laugh because it's fun. But today, the audience reactions were so good, so excited, that it really fueled his performance.
Q: What do you like about the new album?
He said that he'd save album talk for another live.
Q: What changed over time about your performance of Ri HaeRang, emotionally speaking?
He said there wasn't a big evolution of his interpretation of the character emotionally, but there were some parts where he changed a bit. He gave a detailed example of a section at the beginning of Act 2, where he first performed it with a lot of seriousness, but as he began to better understand the character, he changed it to be lighter. He felt like it was more true to the character, so his delivery of those lines gradually changed.
Q: What part of the character seeped into your personality?
He says that these days, he doesn't think that deeply. In the past, his thoughts would be very ordered, one after the other, very deep, and it was dificult for him to even speak sometimes, to just spontaneously say things. But these days, if he has trouble speaking, it's because he's so much more the opposite--just saying what he thinks. So it's not really that Ri Haerang is like that, per se, it's more that he's acquired the character's lightness, his freedom.
Q: Did you feel scared when Haerang falls at the end?
Yes, he did! It wasn't that high, and it wasn't danger either, but of course injuries are still possible (one in fact happened with another actor). But fortunately he didn't get injured, even though it could be dangerous. But he wasn't that scared.
Q: Was it hard to change to a musical-type vocal technique?
It wasn't a character where vocal technique was all that important. The character was very free, and since he's that kind of person, it's not that important to portray him through a specific kind of vocal style. He doesn't have to sing in just one way; he's not a fixed idea kind of character. That turned out to be fortunate for YB as his portrayer, because other characters (Haejin and Wonryuhan specifically) have a unique vocal style that has some weight. But YB thinks his performance was fine.
Q: If you get another opportunity, will you challenge yourself with a musical again?
Yes, of course he will. If the timing fits, or even if it has to overlap with promotions and he can do it without stretching himself too thin, then he will. He's the type who wants to do as much as possible. Plays, musicals, any are good, because each one is another big challenge. And now that he's done it once, he wants to "know it deeply." He wants to "dig deeper and understand more deeply." He liked it best when the three characters performed together. He mentioned two songs: Laundry and Pyeongpyeong.
Q: What was your first thought when you learned you got the part?
He was in the US when he found out, so he first told IS and JY, "I think I'm going to do a musical." But he hadn't started practice yet and so it all seemed a little vague, like he was pretty sure he could do it but had no real sense of it yet. But gradually, as he practiced and the time passed, he got deeply into it. YTY made a lot of time for him. They practiced together separately in the practice room.
Q: You turned that vagueness into reality?
that's right. Up to that point it didn't feel real. But somehow, he performed for three months without getting sick or hurt, not missing a single day. That's something he feels really proud of himself for doing. Now that it's done, he's not quite sure how he managed to do it.
Q: If you were told to go back and do it again, would you be scared?
"even if that were the case, I think I would take on the challenge."
Q: Favorite sport?
Basketball.
(There was another little question here about aegyo, but I didn't completely understand it; I'm not sure if it was about the play or something else).
Q: Before going onstage, what do you do to lower tension (nervousness / stress)?
He thoroughly warms up his voice, loosens up as much as possible. Matinees are particularly difficult. Today his condition was quite good, but he used propolis (throat spray) and it went down wrong. He pointed to his diaphragm and said "this part feels a bit blocked still." He says he must've gone too deep or too much, because he was coughing all day.
He said someone bought the coffee he was drinking for him.
Q: SF9 concert vs. one performance of Secretly, Greatly?
There's no comparison. An SF9 concert is much bigger for him. For this musical, it wouldn't have happened if he hadn't been in SF9 in the first place. If he had to choose, he'd do an SF9 performance; that's much more fun. Because musicals are "a fight on your own," it gets quite lonely. But in SF9, he has the members with him, so he feels more at ease.
Q: Did you take good care of your ensemble friends?
He said, "Me?!? I never took care of them; they took care of me."
Q: SF9 concert vs. one musical performance question was about which was more difficult to do.
Musicals are harder. Physically more difficult, since you're fighting by yourself.
Q: I watched Secretly, Greatly twice and cried both times.
"Thank you. It seems like you were immersed."
Q: more on the ensemble friends?
He thinks they must've spoken well again. He put his fingertips just a few centimeters apart and said he only had that much space in his heart to take care of others. The ensemble friends covered it (his heart) like "this," and he widened his fingers to a few inches, the size of his heart. They're younger than him, but they're actor seniors, so he learned a lot from them.
He'd like to keep doing musicals continuously, if he gets the chance to audition
Q: Did you really take a selfie onstage?
No, the phone didn't turn on.
Q: Is the Yakult real? (Yakult is a probiotic drink; I'm assuming his character drinks it onstage).
He did actually drink it. But it's not exactly smooth; his vocal cords "get a bit sticky." It's like it doesn't fully go down, feels like it's kind of caught in his throat, and he has to sing right after drinking it. It feels like that gets in his way, so he doesn't really want to drink it, but his performance calls for it, so he has no choice. Still, he liked the sound it made through the mic when he finished it, so he forced himself to drink it all.
At that point he stepped away for a minute. He said his voice was a bit hoarse and it's a bit disappointing, but he still had to do the performance anyway.
He quit caffeine, alcohol, and spicy food during the musical run, almost completely. He might have one drink or coffee after a performance, or if there was a long break between performances. He really wanted to eat spicy food, but it's bad for his throat, along with alcohol and caffeine. He wanted them, but he held back. Now that the musical is over, he's not planning to go overboard. While he's adjusted to not having them, he's going to be moderate and control himself. In the end, he felt it was good to become more healthy.
Q: Other than Haerang, is there a character you'd want to play?
For this musical, he'd like to play the part of the youngest, Haejin. He sang a bit from a line from one of the songs (he couldn't remember all the lyrics). But He wanted to try playing that, the youngest-member moment. When he watches the other actors play that part, he thinks about how he might reinterpret the character for himself. There's a part at the end he thought of specifically, and he explained how he'd try to portray it as if he's holding down emotions, and he's kind of disappointed that he didn't have the chance to do it.
He thinks it would be fun if he could do a musical with the SF9 members too, like him, Jaeyoon, and Inseong together. He talked about seeing Hweseung and Jaejin doing a musical together as brothers, and thought it was fun. (I don't know who these people are, so the spelling might be off). He decided not to talk about that anymore because he didn't want Fantasy to fall for them haha
Q: Does life as Youngbin feel ordinary now?
No, his life is absolutely not ordinary. His life is very special and sparkling. He always says, when he stands onstage he sometimes feels the pressure from the audience, because he feels such a weight on himself to do well. But in the end, it's really something incredible. Standing alone in the middle of the stage, in front of so many people, the audience giving their time and their focus to you, the lighting, the staging, getting all that attention and love, even applause at the end--that life can never be ordinary.
Later, when he gets much older, when it comes time to die, because we all do eventually, he thinks he'll have a lingering attachment to this job, the lingering thought and feeling that "I wanted to shine a bit more, just a bit more." He thinks that feeling will stay with him because it was that special, that precious.
Someone said, "Don't die," and he said he won't die now. But humans eventually--and then he cut himself off.
He said all the actors tried to be strength for him. They didn't focus on teaching him, but they tried to help him empathize, and beyond this, how to develop the right mindset as an actor, to understand what's necessary to do when you're acting. A lot of them offered advice, and many cheered him on openly, especially Seong Jaeyong and Niel. There were times when YB felt that practice had gone so poorly that he felt apologetic; he couldn't find his direction. He'd get critical of himself, saying "Why am I so bad at this?" But then Seong Jaeyoung and Niel came at just the right time and told him, "You're doing well. Where is it wrong? You're doing really good." They were straightforward like that, and he was so thankful to all of them and the other actors, too. He thanked some of the other actors and crew by name as well. YB ended this section by saying, even if he can't repay it fully, he'll also become a good senior someday, and pass on that kind of positive influence to his juniors, too.
I'm going to pause here and come back later to finish the rest. I stopped at about ; a bit under halfway through.

#SF9 #HWIYOUNG YouTube Live Summary, 260422 (?) youtube.com/live/Vg-3QGk8O…
He asked if everyone was getting off work now, and wanted to know what people had for lunch. He read a few comments: "I went and came home again." "I get off work in an hour." "There's still an hour left." Then he said to those still at work that he hoped they could hang in there just a bit longer.
He said traffic was really bad right now (he was in the car).
someone said they got hit on the head with bird poop--he said, doesn't that mean you should buy a lottery ticket?
He said he wasn't going anywhere except home--he just finished his schedule. He ate ramen, shin ramen, that day for the first time in a long time. He said there isn't really a tip to eat ramen without gaining weight. You just eat it, enjoy its deliciousness, and accept the mindset that you'll gain weight. He talked for a bit about different varieties of ramen he enjoys--I did not follow all of this very well--these are the korean names of the types / brands he likes (육계장, 육계장, and Shin ramen). He recommended Dakhanmari for dinner (chicken, basically).
He said it's a bit chilly today. It's dark and gloomy and looks like it might rain. It's not short sleeve weather. He put the phone on the floor and got his water bottle to drink.
He yawned a bit and said that he did sleep, but he woke up a lot. He wondered--if he takes melatonin, will he wake up less? Someone asked if he had a nightmare. He said he does have nightmares. He wondered again if he should take melatonin. Someone asked him to tell the story of his dream. He said his dream was strange. It was about social life (I think he means social anxiety or awkwardness). He dreamed he was trying to figure out a boss-like person's secret. So he felt really uncomfortable in the dream, his dream self making jokes that weren't funny, not having an easy time of it. The night before that, he dreamed that it rained a lot and the roads were all flooded, and then suddenly it snowed a lot, piling up to his knees. He also had a dream where a cat bit his hand--really savagely, like it was going to tear his hand off. In short, he has a lot of weird dreams.
He can't focus as well in the car as he can when he's alone in his room (I think the practice room he uses at the company). He wondered: is it because he's moving? He reassured fans that it wasn't related to stress or anything.
He said he wants to workout hard, but he loses confidence when he compares himself to others who are really good at it. So he feels like he should work out hard too, but it's not easy. Later someone said he shouldn't compare himself to others, and he agreed that he shouldn't.
Someone must've asked about the color of the cat in his dream, wondering if it was the same color as Danggeun (chani's cat that Hwiyoung loves). He said that it was the same color--did Danggeun comes as a dream lion? Did he bother Danggeun (and then the cat came to him in a dream)? Someone asked if he misses Danggeun, and he said of course he does. But he said then that Danggeun has totally become an ice cat (I'm not sure what that means...like he's standoffish or something?)
Someone asked if he gets motion sick in the car, and he said he doesn't. The carnival (the van he's in) is still comfortable for him, since he's ridden in one for so long. Someone else asked about seasickness, and he says that's different, but he thinks he wouldn't get that either (?)
Someone asked him to use X more often. He says he' only lurks here. He doesn't feel like there's nothing much worth posting.
He hasn't been drinking coffee for a few months now. He's trying not to.
He thinks he sometimes gets motion sick on the subway, or an trains like the KTX. He says the KTX has a unique smell.
Someone said something like, "at least post silly things on X." He said originally he would do that, but he wants them to actually be funny, and he's worried what he posts won't be funny, so he can't post right now. Someone said "If you don't use twitter for a month your account will be suspended?" He said, "No, I don't think so. I've gone months without using it." He agreed that silliness takes practice. You can't get obsessed with trying to be funny. But while he's lurking, his standards go up, so he realizes that his humor isn't there.
(He started describing something he saw on X lately, about people arguing about Tyrannosaurus Rex, but since it referenced something viral on korean language twitter, I did not know what it was...anyway, he said that was something he found interesting.)
He said lurking is more of a phone addition thing, when there's nothing else to do, and you look at twitter, look at fan cafe, watch YouTube, mainly that's it. He said everything is translated today too, so he even sees things he doesn't want to see, but he ends up seeing them anyway, and that's kind of tiring. Fans asked him to retweet things, but he seemed hesitant. He said yeah, you can see all foreign languages too (translated). It's not that he can't see fans' twitter accounts, but they don't come up as often, and he sees all of global twitter. He doesn't have instagram at all.
At that point, he told everyone to get off work safely, enjoy their food, and go home safely, and so would he. Bye!

#SF9 #Hwiyoung Youtube Live Summary, 260415. Watch here: youtube.com/live/wAQ0yejhE…
He was still at the company at 1 am and decided to do a live for a few minutes before he went home from work. He thought he wouldn't do it for long because he was tired. The shirt he was wearing is something he's had for awhile.
Someone mentioned watching a mukbang; he said the algorithm shows it to you before bedtime so you can watch a bit before sleeping. He thought most people watching were probably sleepy.
The weather has been getting much warmer in Seoul lately. It's basically short-sleeve weather.
He acknowledged that he hasn't had much time since About Love came out to do any lives. But he thought even just doing this briefly, saying hi, it might help those who haven't been able to see him lately.
Today he worked out and did some Japanese language exercises in a workbook.
He realized it was morning in America, and said Hello in English.
He hasn't been doing his Japanese workbook practices as much as he should have, so he feels a little embarrassed toward his teacher for it.
He said the weather was nice for a picnic.
He can't remember when he started studying Japanese, but he's been trying to do it consistently. It's not intense like preparing for an exam, just a moderate level of studying.
He said he saw cherry blossoms as he was going around on his schedules.
someone asked what he was studying in Japanese. He read a few lines in Japanese (I couldn't translate those parts), but basically later said it's simpe stuff like "this is my bicycle" and "It is Name's Bicycle" and that kind of thing. He said it's basically kids stuff, not even elementary school level. Kindergarten level, he thinks.
He said he was listening to Summer Walker's Tiny Desk concert.
He said he's not even Kindergarten level Japanese. He's foreigner level because he's not Japanese. He wanted to know: is Duolingo fun? Anyway, he said languages seem difficult to him. When he sees people who are good at languages, they seem impressive.
Someone asked what he was drinking, and he showed his water bottle and Pepsi he had sitting nearby. (He said that in English).
He's not currently thinking about having his own fan meeting.
He gets Pepsi Zero Lime, but then after he does he feels guilty and stops drinking it, and has a stockpile in his room.
Someone wanted to know if he was going to do more soundcloud music. He says he does want to do some more, some soundcloud exclusive music, but he hasn't been working on any. Later, when he has some time, he'll make and upload some. Sometimes he still goes on soundcloud and looks at comments people have left before, and it feels good to see them.
Someone wanted to know what he's been listening to. He said Harry Styles' new album and SF9 About Love.
He ate cup rice and chicken breast for dinner.
He didn't show it on camera, but he said the lighting he had turned on was something his mom had bought for him before. He only turns it on when he's doing lives in that room. When he's practicing, studying, or working, he just uses the regular light.
He said, "Fantasy, I love you!" In a few different languages--I think Korean, English, Spanish, Japanese, and Chinese.
Someone wanted to know if he was Danggeun's new dad (that's Chani's cat). He said no, he's just someone who likes Danggeun.
He said he's not really the type to go to concerts much, but when he got to go see Oasis, he really loved it.
Someone said it was said there weren't many promotions. He said he'd try to show himself more often.
He said Danggeun probably likes Chani more than him. But when he comes by, since he's familiar, the cat will purr a lot. He said it's crazy, and it makes him feel really just... (he didn't finish this sentence, but it sounded like it was really good, haha)
At that point, he started saying goodbye. He said for those who are watching where it's morning, Fighting! tomorrow / today will be insanely happy. Sleep well.

#SF9 SBS Radio Appearance summary, 260401 with #YOUNGBIN #DAWON #HWIYOUNG #CHANI (I watched here: youtu.be/jClCQgVwSxs?si…)
Joo Hyunhyung (I'll refer to her as JHH from this point forward) was the host of the program, and she introduced them as the guys who said they would surprise the world (their original slogan) and it's already their 10th anniversary. They all greeted the camera. JHH said Youngbin was cute for using banmal (casual speech) in his greeting. Chani was wearing a hat and a mask half-on, and asked for everyone's grace because his face condition wasn't good today.
JHH read a few comments from the chat; one said that SF9s halos were so bright and dazzling they were watching wearing sunglasses. Then they talked a bit about how JHH and the members had seen each other and admired each other's work throughout their years in entertainment. They explained that JY and IS both had schedules today and couldn't be there for the radio show.
They talked a bit about Taeyang being enlisted and JHH wondered if he was supporting their comeback. DW said that it wouldn't really be possible for him to follow very closely since he's still at the training center, but he hopes YTY knows they're supporting him. JHH asked DW to share a message for YTY. He said, " hope you do well. The training enter is not easy, in my experience. So keep your body healthy. Since the seasons are changing, don't catch a cold. A position that suits you will come to you. I hope you carry out your duties well." JHH pointed out that DW got first place among the soldiers in his trainee class, and he kind of deflected, saying that YTY will also do well, he thinks. YB said he tried to help YTY prepare before leaving, and recently he got a message from YTY that he's doing well. He'd been able to see that the members were doing album promotions and they were thankful that he was watching them.
A commenter asked Dawon to tell a story about being in the military. DW said that if you work hard, things just work out. If you have something innate, you can make it work. He said the awards he got in the military are good, but now that he's back in regular society, he wants to work hard and receive an award for his work here, too.
JHH pointed out that their 10th anniversary would occur 10 years after October 5, 2016. She introduced the About Love album. She pointed out they'd all thought about what love is while preparing the album, and wanted to know what they thought: what is love? YB said it's when you give everything you can. JHH started teasing him, like "everything?" and he said yes, even organs, hair, all of that--that is love. Unconditional. For Dawon, it is including your loved one in every moment, in all your plans, in your future, and thinking together so that in every moment, in daily life, that person is in every part of it. JHH said, that feeling of being one body with each other? DW said yes. Hwiyoung said love is a momentary illusion, two people just liking each other. JHH said it's like your eyes are covered / blinded by love (literally a "bean pod over the eyes"). If it comes off, it all ends, right? For Chani, he said it's a relationship where two people are by each others' sides, giving strength.
JHH asked how they came to plan the album to have seven ballads. She wanted to know if there was a special reason for that. YB said that it was a new challenge for them, and they and the producer decided this would be a good time to try it. JHH felt that after listening to it, it's like there's a through-story, and that you can sit down and listen to the full album and hear that story, and it can become an album that promotes healing.
JHH pointed out that there's not really any rap in this, and YB, HY and CN are all rappers. This album lets them showcase their vocal ability. YB agreed (tbh this host talked a lot--the guys didn't really say as much, I'm realizing...)
She noticed there were no music show performances, and wondered if anyone felt any regret because of that. YB said yeah they did, but it's not that there will be no performances at all. They are preparing choreography for the songs, and they'll eventually perform them at concerts, or at another "appropriate time" (he was being cagey and I think referring to the live performances they've been releasing on YouTube).
JHH asked about the track Love Comes Slowly. YB said it is literally what the title says, but also a song that makes the listener think about the true meaning of love. It's a medium tempo R&B, not a true ballad. He said the members all participated in it and it's a song they tried to sing very sweetly, so they'd love it if we listen a lot.
JHH asked if the members all contributed opinions to the album creation, and HY answered that it was an environment where they could all give opinions freely. As they worked on the music, there were composers with more experience, so he thought maybe that communication would be difficult, but it actually worked quite well. He was pleasantly surprised to find that these more experienced composers really listened to the members' opinions, and the album became better because of it. He felt almost no generation gap.
JHH wanted to know if there was a song that each of them were particularly drawn to. For Youngbin, it was the title Love Comes Slowly, but also By Your Side. Back when they were trying to decide which song would be the title track, he had a few other options in mind (By Your Side and Fade into Memories). Because he'd had those in mind as possible title tracks, they stand out most to him. Dawon said the song that stands out for him is Taeyang's solo, Broken Way. He said it has a 90s rock ballad, and he thought the song was really good. For Hwiyoung, it's You Think Too Much and Love Comes Slowly; he goes back and forth between the two. He thinks they're both title-track-worthy, and also really "public-friendly" (not sure what that means, lol) and he thought they really suited them well right now. he asked everyone to listen to them a lot. Chani said for him it was You Think Too Much as well, but all the songs are really, trully good. He recommends listening to them in the car or while working; that's when they're good to listen to. JHH said that in this season of mild weather and cherry blossoms, while you're out enjoying this season, it would be good to listen to all seven songs straight through.
They read through some of the comments that fans were leaving in the radio show chat. Then JHH said that it was a shame they couldn't hear a live performance since all the members weren't there today. She asked to hear a killing part, and Hwiyoung said he decided before that he would sing a bit from the bridge of Love Comes Slowly. He sang it (so pretty--see at 17:33). The line he sang were "I hope and wish for our love to last forever; and let's try to draw it" (create/draw the vision of love, I think). JHH teased him that it was short, but then said that it was sweet and it's perfect for the weather they're having right now.
JHH asked about the live video performances they're releasing instead of an MV. She wanted to know the thinking behind that. HY explained that they really had this vision they wanted to show of themselves just singing, to show it a lot, to make it simulate a live performance as much as possible, to be as seamless as possible to that experience. They also tried to match the mood / look of it to the song's vibe too.
Then they played the song (this part was cut from the recorded link above.). JHH opened the next segment by saying that the album really feels like the kind you'd want to listen to while the sun is setting, turning it up loud, and driving while listening.
They read some more messages from fans.
after one fan asked if Dawon still gets nervous, JHH asked if he does still get nervous 10 years after debut. DW said yes, he does, especially when doing things that feel unfamiliar. JHH asked--what about today? DW said today is an "appropriately pleasant" kind of nervous. Then JHH said this was his first radio after his discharge. He said yes, he came a lot before enlistment. He even had some "fixed radio spots," (like a continous hosting role for awhile), and those are big memories for him. But now it feels a bit new emotionally, and he feels good about it.
The fan who had made the comment about nervousness called him "aboji" or "father", and JHH wanted to know why the fans call him that (I've never heard that anyone does? right?) and he said "Well...there are times when even I don't really understand the fans...but I joke around like that sometimes, but I don't always remember what jokes I told. There must've been some kind of 'spark'" (In other words, he thinks a fan was riffing off a past joke he made, something "sparked" this, only he doesn't remember making the joke, so he doesn't really get why they're calling him that either)
They read another comment that said their outfits were cool boyfriend style and wanted to know if they were their own clothes or not. They said yes. JHH wanted to know if they like styling themselves and dressing themselves up. Hwiyoung said he isn't really that type; he just likes to wear what he wears...for 10 years. :) JHH asked DW to say what he thought, and DW said he does like clothes, he just works out so much that he only wears workout clothes.
JHH wanted to know: who dresses the worst? YB said it's less that someone dresses badly and more that just a couple of them don't even really care that much how they look. He said "the friend who is the least interested has also spoken the least." meaning Chani, lol. Chani was like, "Me?!?" and then admitted that he isn't that interested in clothes, so like Hwiyoung, he just wears whatever, comfortable but also neat stuff. He said that even today, he looks the most comfy (YB was giggling at him) and then he tried to talk his clothes up, saying pay attention a bit, because the zip up hoodie he's wearing is one he cherishes, and this is dressing up for him. JHH kept trying to talk him up by saying "Oh, the inside lining looks so warm," and "You look pretty..." haha
Another commenter asked if it was hard for Chani to do acting and singing activities at the same time. JHH pointed out he'd just finished Method Acting movie. Chani said thank you for watching it. Chani said he's been asked that question a lot (about whether or not it's hard to do both) and he aid that it's not so much hard, more that each activity has its own charm, a different kind of fun, and he loves all of them. Hwiyoung was kind of giggling off to the side, and YB asked why he was laughing, and he said it was because Chani sounded very/overly serious and mature talking about that.
Then they did a little Time Machine segment, where JHH brought up a quote from an old interview and they had to figure out what was missing from the quote. They did a cute little fastening seatbelts in the time machine thing before starting.
The first one was from a Youngbin Interview in 2020, and the question was what did the group do instead of practicing when they were trainees? They got the answer right away: playing the mafia game. They talked about how they got scolded when they got caught. Youngbin read his comments from that interview back then: "I don't know what we were thinking as trainees, but we didn't practice and we played the mafia game. The company staff got really angry and told us all to get out. So we packed our things and gathered in front of the company carrying our suitcases, and they said, 'You really packed your things and came?' And then told them to go back to the dorms. At that time, I really thought we were getting kicked out, so I was very shaken." They explained that they played mafia as a kind of break, because they were practicing all day every day, and they loved that game so much, so they just played it. They didn't do anything else improper, just played mafia.
JHH wanted to know who was best at playing it. HY said that IS hyung is the best. He's the most highly educated of all of them, and he's good at thinking on his feet, and he "lies without rest" hahaha. JHH said Chani seemed like he would be good at it. Chani said he was really quiet when they played mafia, so the older guys didn't catch on when he was mafia. JHH wanted to know if there was anything else they did as rebellion, and they had a hard time thinking of something, but eventually decided it was just gaming and spending frivolous money on in-game purchases. They said they're all mostly introverted, but they get very intense when it comes to gaming.
The next interview was Chani's from 2019. The question was what Chani did to make Youngbin really angry. It took them awhile to figure it out, and after some hinting from JHH, they realized the answer: Chani spoiled a character death for Sky Castle before Youngbin had seen it. (Youngbin's first guess was that it was "sleeps too much and is late.") Chani explained that Youngbin was busy then and couldn't watch Sky Castle as it aired, and Chani did a live where he pointed out, "hey, XX character falls from this building here" and YB got upset with him for spoiling it, and refused to watch Sky Castle for a week afterward, and Chani was sorry. JHH wanted to know actually how angry was Youngbin, and he said it wasn't really all that much, not seriously angry, and they decided it was a kind of pouting-but-not-really-pouting kind of thing.
JHH wanted to know if there were any members who bugged Chani for spoilers while it was airing. Chani said not so much that, just more that they didn't want to bother watching it. Hwiyoung told him, "I'm not going to watch it, so just tell me what happens." They explained it was because it's their close friend in it so they couldn't watch it.
At that point they started to wrap up and started to say goodbye one at a time. Dawon said, "It was nice to be here, and I'm going to be a special DJ next week here," and JHH got very surprised, and then DW said "April Fools," and they laughed about it. Everyone else said their goodbyes, and that was it!
