@ZachBowders Usually snacks are out ahead of it so it’s snacking on crackers, shrimp, chips, & small sweets until “linner” at 2:30pm - 4:00pm then all the Thanksgiving food, then desert, then snacking on it all the rest of the day.

Other rocks are just gorgeous rocks. Apparently rockhounding has quietly and abruptly found me in my 40s just like birdwatching did.

I’m on the shore of Lake Superior where some driftwood looks like rocks, some rocks look like homemade hamburger buns, and others look like donut holes.

My dad’s taken a big turn for the worse and we’ve been told to expect to lose him soon. I’m sitting with him now and even though I knew this was coming, it’s still so painful. I expected it to be hard, but wow, is it ever hard.
