Iran has set up a controlled shipping lane through the Strait of Hormuz where vessels move only after direct coordination and approval from Tehran. Governments including China, Pakistan, India, Iraq, and Malaysia are engaging Iran directly to clear their ships, with the IRGC running a registration and vetting system for passage. At least 9 vessels have already transited using a route close to Larak Island, where Iranian naval and port authorities visually confirm them before exit. In at least one case, a tanker paid around $2 million for passage, marking the first known monetization of access through the strait under this system. Traffic remains limited, but the mechanism is in place. Movement through Hormuz is now structured, negotiated, and filtered through Iranian control rather than open transit.

I pray this is true! Lift all embargoes and sanctions against Cubans. Our US leaders need to free themselves from their hubris, greed, and corruption, and accept that we are all equals and deserving of commerce and currencies that are not coerced or forced, but that is fair, equitable, and agreeable, together as equals and as sovereign nations.

For years, Washington sent Baghdad pallets of cash on cargo flights derived from the oil sales. To this day, custody of oil revenues at the New York Fed remains in place today as an account of the Central Bank of Iraq and gives Washington the ability to essentially control Iraqi politics and the economy. Just in the last week, the US has threatened to stop Iraq from receiving its oil revenues if parties it considers ‘pro-Iran’ are included in the new Iraqi government, despite the fact the formation of a new government is based on a democratic election which took place in November 2025. When the US claimed it would bring ‘democracy’ to Iraq, it was code word for total domination and disaster capitalism.

Can we please stop pretending that crossing some random, made-up “debt limit” is the end of the world? It’s not! This whole panic around national debt is just built on a complete misunderstanding of how money even works. That “debt” everyone is freaking out about? It’s literally just the total amount of currency the government has issued, nothing more, nothing mystical, nothing catastrophic. And yet people keep comparing a currency-issuing government to a household like it’s the same thing, seriously? A household can run out of money. A government that issues its own currency cannot. Full stop. This isn’t complicated, it’s just a basic reality that people refuse to accept. Thank you - if you would recommend some. It boggles my mind how the system has been designed.
