@ZBauermaster Recognizing that all students have lives and stories is so important!! They are human too!! Yes, you want them to learn, so homework is good, but don’t let it stress them out

@teachergoals Getting excited that the first quarter at tech is almost done!! One step closer to teaching in a classroom!! And now I’m google certified😁

For the past few days I’ve been playing around with some new tech tools for class!! It was so cool and so much fun to create quizzes. Along with the games to go with them! Will definitely be using these in my future classroom. #EdTechAtLATech
@teachergoals I love this!! Meeting kids where they are at, and working on development is so important on the teachers side, but so so important for parents!! #EdTechAtLATech
@WhitSivils I think it’s so important for a teacher to have high expectations for their students!! It always needs to be paired with encouragement as well though, so the student actually believes they can meet them! #EdTechAtLATech
I have completed my #DigCit training!! I have always been kind of nervous when it comes to technology and children, because there are so many dangers in the world. Now I know some ways to keep my kids safe in the classroom!! #EdTechAtLATech
Lately I’ve been working on my PLN, and I actually can admit it was quite interesting to learn about so many different ways to support my future students!! I can’t wait to use all of the networks in my class one day!!

👏👏👏 It's important to find a healthy work/life balance, #EdTechAtLATech. Do the things that bring you joy, & work on building relationships with your family members.. You'll never regret it. A happy teacher makes for a more effective teacher!
What things bring you joy now?
@WhitSivils I am very thankful for you answering the question of “Is AI gonna take over teaching” and “will teachers be out of a job”. That was my dads first question when I told him I wanted to be a teacher😂 #EdTechAtLATech
@DrBradJohnson As an elementary education major, in their freshman year at La tech, I’ve already learned so much about how big of a role I will play in these kids lives. At this age, they start to ask the question am I gonna be a success or failure, we need to support them! #EdTechAtLATech
@edutopia My favorite teachers were ALWAYS the ones that took time to say hi, and greet their students, and not just their favorite ones. It had to be EVERY SINGLE ONE! It really makes a difference in a child’s day!! #EdTechAtLATech
“I see you, I know you, I’m connecting with you and you’re important to me.” Greetings at the door allow you to take a pulse check on your students—and deepen relationships with them.
