I’ll never understand how America went from Barack Obama to Donald Trump. From dignity, empathy, and competence to grievance, cruelty, and chaos. It wasn’t an accident. It was backlash. Backlash to having a smart, principled, wildly popular Black president who proved this country could be better. And some people couldn’t stand it.

The more law enforcement I talk to - the more telling me the person doesn’t look overly sophisticated or professional. The way the gun is holstered and not immediately ripping off the camera. Cartel, for example, would have been more efficient they say.

The second note went to KOLD tv station in Tucson. They say: the IP address is NOT the same IP address as the initial note, but it appears the sender used the same type of secure server to hide their IP address. The new note contains something the senders seem to think will prove to investigators they’re the same people who sent the first note.

Yesterday, five-year-old Liam and his dad Adrian were released from Dilley detention center. I picked them up last night and escorted them back to Minnesota this morning. Liam is now home.
