I’ve never complained as much about the weather as I do in the UK, primarily because the UK isn’t really built for any weather. The houses trap heat, but are simultaneously freezing in the cold. There’s no shade. It rains all the time, and the wind is brutal

I love when people born and raised in warm, sunny, tropical countries validate the unexpected and unique experience of the UK’s warmer months. Yes, it is simultaneously arctic in the shade and the Sahara desert in the sun. Yes, 17° in London is what 25° in Cairo feels like.
