JUST IN: 22-year-old Utah resident Tyler Robinson has been taken into custody for the assassination of Charlie Kirk, according to the Daily Mail. Robinson was reportedly turned in by his father. “The killer then confessed to his father, who is a a 27-year veteran of the Washington County Sheriff's Department,” the Daily Mail reported. “His father then contacted authorities and secured his son before he could be taken into custody.”

We don’t yet know what motivated the person who shot and killed Charlie Kirk, but this kind of despicable violence has no place in our democracy. Michelle and I will be praying for Charlie’s family tonight, especially his wife Erika and their two young children.
