Loved working with @JenniferLCurrie firsties! Using her conferring notes, we planned strategy groups...and it was awesome! Some students practiced using punctuation to read like a storyteller, while others added decoding strategies to their toolboxes. 🛠📚

If you model, they will follow! Today I nonchalantly wrote some things in my Reader’s Notebook during our read aloud. ( we usually only use post its in first grade) During independent reading time, some S’s got out a notebook and began their own Reader‘s Notebook!! So proud!

HELP WANTED: First graders to make audiobooks for a kindergarten class!! The First Grade Reading Stars have been working hard reading with expression, paying attention to dialogue, reading loud and clear, and giving their partners advice. They are ready to take on the job!!

Today we had a first grade Zoom pet or stuffed animal show and tell! The students loved seeing each other and I loved seeing their sweet faces. Thank you @SarahLewis903 for coming and sharing your pet, they love seeing you as well! #BCSConnectED

I was having trouble with my read alouds since dojo only allows 8 minute videos. Thankful for a fantastic tech teacher @_Ashley_Torres for helping me learn MyVR spot in the matter of minutes! My kiddos will now get to see my full read alouds! #distancelearning #potomackAIR
