Today, the ICC Deputy Prosecutor briefed #UNSC on its Darfur investigation. Denmark welcomed the landmark conviction of Janjaweed leader for war crimes and crimes against humanity and underscored the need for the remaining ICC arrest warrants to be executed by Sudan

Following today's ICC briefing on Darfur, 🇱🇷 & 🇩🇰 on behalf of the ICC Caucus reaffirmed the Caucus’ unwavering commitment to the Court, and expressed our deepest appreciation for the progress made under exceptionally challenging circumstances.

Maritime security matters! Today 🇩🇰 voted in favour of extending the Red Sea reporting mechanism, reaffirming our strong commitment to restoring freedom of navigation. We call on the Houthis to provide tangible security guarantees and to stop taking civilian shipping hostage.

In the #UNSC today, Denmark reiterated that Israeli settlements are illegal under international law. Settlements and settler violence undermine the two-state solution.

At today’s debate marking the 20-year anniversary of #R2P, 🇩🇰 on behalf of the Nordic-Baltic countries, reaffirmed our commitment to all three pillars of R2P, underscoring the need to work together to protect populations from atrocities and to hold those responsible accountable.
