New year new habits! Every week I'm recognizing 8th graders from each class period publicly in class and sending a positive note home. Two of these students stayed after to thank me for acknowledging them and another told me how nice it was. 🧵

Idea-Math hub in the classroom where Ss can choose how to represent their thinking. This helps students spend less time drawing them, Ss see them represented correctly, Ts can see S work instead of it being dry erased, and it gives students agency even to our littlest learners 😍
