@KingOlaoluwa1 @Blessedstiches Nothing. The MIL has already shielded her and taken the blame for it. Anyone who still tries to say otherwise is doing it for drama sakes or they don't like the wife.

The day I mistakenly poured soup during a village meeting, my mother-in-law told them that she was the one who did it. From morning till 12 p.m., we were in the kitchen cooking with firewood alongside my co-wives. We cooked jollof rice and bitter leaf soup. I carried the cooler containing the soup to the sitting room where they were having the meeting, but before I reached the entrance, the handle of the cooler came off and the whole soup spilled everywhere. My mother-in-law rushed in and told me to calm down. She went inside and told them that she mistakenly poured the soup, pointing to herself. She even started crying in front of them, and they gave her ₦10,000 for the loss, but she refused to collect the money. Later, they sent someone to buy another soup for them. I am forever grateful to my mother-in-law.

To add, as a woman, you can also ask for a prenup that protects you too. If he cheats, becomes abusive, or you have to pause your career for the marriage, childbirth, or raising kids, there should be terms that benefit you as well. These well-to-do men ask for prenups to protect themselves, especially when they know what’s at stake. So instead of getting offended or think he doesn’t love or thinks you’re after his money, protect yourself too. If he feels the need to secure his future, you should be able to secure yours as well..
DUNMEENEENU🌹❤️@Beebah_Naturals

Any man that brings you a prenup before marriage will show you shege in that marriage, he will act nonchalantly because he knows you will go with nothing if you dare file for a divorce, I pity some of you. Prenup is the end of the beginning. End.

I was looking at AMVCA if they will give the rubbish movie an award. After those scandalous 9 nominations. It was the first time ever myself and my wife will see a movie and we were hissing till the end of the movie. We waited to see exactly where and when the movie would make any sense. The movie would’ve still been a disappointment if I saw it on YouTube. I pity those that went to the cinema to see the movie. Mrs Kemi Adetiba needs to start a school and start teaching everyone in the industry how things should be properly done.

Now Monica is winning awards, and suddenly mama Monica is on stage beside her, smiling from ear to ear, dressed in matching red like she followed her from the beginning. Where was all this energy during the struggle? Why didn’t she carry the other children too? Why only Monica now that there’s spotlight, cameras, and applause? Congratulations 🎉 to Uche on her Award.

My guy broke up with his babe sometime last year. The girl seemed cool and I wasn't aware of any problems that justified a breakup. I asked him why and he said he would tell me later. After a few weeks, he got a new babe. He randomly called me yesterday and we got talking. Apparently, a few months after he started dating his ex, he invested some money in a business and his business partners connived with one another to steal money from him. This affected his ability to supply the goods he had been paid to deliver and his customers started threatening to arrest him. They gave him a week's ultimatum and he started running around, taking loans and doing everything he could to either deliver or pay the money back. He told me that every night when he got home tired and worried, he would explain to his girlfriend on the phone what he went through the whole day to get money, but he never asked or expected her to support him financially because she didn't have any money of her own. Before the end of the ultimatum, he was able to source the money after borrowing from family and friends and he settled the issue with his customers. After he told his girlfriend this, she asked him for some money to sort her personal stuff, even though she knew he was in debt and his business was in trouble. He said he lost all attraction for her and knew he couldn't marry her. He broke up with her two months later even though he actually loved her. He then told me about his new babe. He said he had promised to buy her some stuff but he didn't make as much profit as he anticipated. When he told her and expected the kind of reaction he would have gotten from his ex, this babe told him that he shouldn't worry about it and that he could buy those things when he had money. She also came to his place to cook and told him that the cost of cooking from yesterday till Sunday was on her. She said she just wanted to ease his burden. He told me that he had never met a girl like her and was quite emotional on the call. That random call was to tell me that he had found his wife.

@szoboszlaiDLFC8 And who told you that his ex who billed him when he was financially down wouldn't cheat? She's even more likely to cheat than the new babe who is willing to ease his burdens. You can tell how much a woman loves you based on the sacrifices she's willing to make for you.

@Drwhales_ This is the main fact here o. The labor market is flooded with people seeking employment. A vast majority of them are not experienced hires. But it is the experienced hires some companies look at for even at entry level hiring.

It’s very possible that Moniepoint has hundreds of vacancies it’s struggling to fill with competent people. That’s not unusual….companies experience this. But the reasons you listed are just ridiculous and outrightly wrong The labour market is a cycle; you get what you put in. Many companies today are aggressively searching for “experienced hires,” yet they have not built a strong pipeline of entry-level talent. That’s where the issue with Moniepoint is. These experienced guys are trained, developed and refined over years…they don’t just appear from somewhere. If every company focuses only on hiring ready-made talent without committing to developing new ones, then the shortage will only get worse. That’s why the more sustainable model is what companies like GTCO & Access have done over the years. build from the ground up, create a strong talent pipeline and fill critical roles internally. Over time, that approach reduces reliance on external experienced hires by at least 50% and builds a more stable workforce.
YEMI ASHIMOLOWO@YemiAshimolowo

Did you listen to the 40 year old CEO of Moniepoint, Tosin Eniolorunda speak at the Platform yesterday? He made a statement that didn't let me sleep all night. Not as if I was entirely surprised. But it once again stirred the difficult truth for our young people. He said they had over 500 vacancies they could not fill because they struggled to find enough Nigerians qualified enough to fill those roles. Think about that for a moment. In a country where millions are looking for jobs, a company still cannot find enough qualified people to employ. We are talking about a company willing to pay millions as monthly salary for those roles. That is painful. According to him, there are several reasons for this, including: 👉Our broken educational system, 👉Social media distraction, 👉The hookup lifestyle, 👉The Yahoo lifestyle, and 👉A creeping culture of laziness. If you are someone who pays attention you already know that this is just the simple truth. Let's start with the educational system. 80% of people gaining admission to the university today cannot pass SS1 exam let alone WAEC and JAMB. Their parents bought the results and admission for them. Now, when they get into the university, what are they being talk? Very outdated and irrelevant curriculum. Talk about social media distraction. In the last two days, I have seen many youths busy looking for videos of whoever in 3sum. You see a jobless graduate going from blog to blog, from post to post, looking for s€x tape - very unfortunate. This morning, it is Portable and the other one that all of them are talking about. Celebrity lifestyle is a serious threat to personal growth. Skits on ny@$h and bress get millions of views, while no one cares to read intellectual content. Parents now pay money for Yahoo boys to coach their children. I can go on and on to show you how true Tosin's presentation is. But let me hold on here. And honestly, this problem does not start when people become adults. It starts from childhood. It starts from teenage age. It starts from what children are exposed to. What they celebrate. What they consume daily. What they are trained to value. Many parents are preparing children only to pass exams and for fun. But the world has changed. The future will reward children who can think, create, communicate, solve problems, use technology, manage money, and build things. Yet many teenagers of secondary school age and even undergraduates today spend hours watching prank videos, endless comedy skits, gossip content, and random entertainment that adds nothing to their growth. A teenager can name 30 celebrities. He can mention all the hit songs released by Davido and Flavour. But cannot explain what an asset is. A child can spend 5 hours on a phone… But cannot confidently use a computer. A child can memorize song lyrics… But has never tried selling anything, creating anything, or solving a simple real-life problem. A 27 year old graduate knows all the comedy shows happening this year, but does not even know the event called "The Platform". Are we seeing the danger? We are raising children in the middle of the greatest information age in human history… Yet many are growing up without direction, curiosity, discipline, or valuable skills. That is why Kidpreneurship matters. Because the goal is not just to make children start businesses, but to divert the direction of their thinking. The goal is to raise children who can survive, think independently, create opportunities, and compete globally. Children who know that: • Money is earned through value. • Skills matter. • Character matters. • Discipline matters. • Creativity matters. • Consistency matters. Let me simplify it for parents. If you want to prepare your child for the future. Children who will not be unemployment casualties. Children who will be ready for global opportunities like the one Moniepoint advertised. Then:

A woman once said her marriage was perfect for five years. No fights, no issues, everyone admired them. Then she got a well-paying job, nothing changed at home, except her. She started asking questions. Saying “I don’t like this.” Having opinions she never voiced before. That’s when the “problems” in the marriage began. Her husband said, “You’ve changed”, and she replied, “No. I’m just no longer the woman who was afraid to lose you.” And that’s what self-awareness and emotional growth can look like in a relationship.

A big international company came to my friend's village and bought half the land. Part of the deal, reserved job slots for the indigenes. Their land. Their children. Their future. Construction finished. Company opened. People started requesting their slots. That was when they found out. The village heads had already sold every reserved slot to outsiders. Five to ten years ahead. Collected the money quietly. Said nothing. The same elders who negotiated on behalf of the village sold the village. These people sold their children's inheritance and pocketed the money. Some betrayals don't come from enemies.

I just finished watching PAID IN FULL and all I can say is, Ladies, value yourselves.😢The way Nollywood is telling real-life stories these days is dangerous. You start watching for entertainment, then suddenly you’re angry, emotional, shouting at the TV, and remembering people’s experiences around you. PAID IN FULL is one of them. It is a painful lesson wrapped in love, sacrifice, betrayal, greed, and the harsh reality of how life can humble people who think they are smart. It shows that sometimes the people who gave the most are the same ones who get hurt the deepest. And for once, this is one of the few movies I’ve watched this year where the ending satisfied the pain. Karma did not delay. Justice may be slow in real life, but in this story, it arrived on time. Frederick Leonard delivered strongly as expected. That man has a presence that makes every scene feel heavy and important. He does not need to shout before you feel the weight of his character. Martha Ankomah? Absolute beast. Powerful, graceful, and natural. She played her role with depth and class. Ghana truly gave Africa a beautiful and talented woman. She'll be 40 this year. Ashmusy also surprised me. She brought life, spice, and energy to the story. She held her own and added that extra touch that made the movie more complete. But beyond acting, let us talk about the message. We have grown past the days where women are told to endure suffering because of marriage. Endure what exactly? Pain? Disrespect? Neglect? Emotional slavery? Marriage is not a prison sentence. Some parents still give their daughters to men they do not love because of money, status, or family pressure. That is not wisdom. That is sacrifice on the wrong altar. You are not raising a daughter for sale. Many men will keep a beautiful wife at home and starve her of love, care, and attention. They will say, “Don’t make hair. Don’t dress too much. Don’t go out.” Meanwhile, they are outside sponsoring another woman to shine. They turn the wife into a housemaid and call it tradition. They kill her dreams and call it discipline. They monitor her movements because they fear another man, while they themselves are moving like public property. Some men want a wife like Mother Mary at home, but they spend all their money on the “baddie” outside. They praise beauty in public but punish it in marriage. Hypocrisy at the highest level. And women too must learn. Love alone is not enough for marriage. Love without respect will wound you. Love without peace will drain you. Love without honesty will destroy you slowly. If you are seeing red flags while dating, marriage will not remove them. Marriage magnifies character. A liar becomes worse. A cheat becomes bolder. A wicked person becomes more comfortable. Rufus did Chioma badly. Even when signs were visible, she was blinded by emotional attachment. That is how many people enter suffering smiling. Please hear this clearly: They paid your dowry, not for your life. Bride price is not a license for oppression. Marriage is not ownership. Love is not endurance of abuse. Run from nonsense early. Some people wait until they need justice hashtags before they leave what they should have left quietly. PAID IN FULL.. Wonderful movie. Painful lessons. Powerful ENDING. Shout out to Uchenna Mbunabo Tv. Baddest producer. Thank you Frederick Leonard. Thank you to our ageless Martha Ankomah. It's a 10/10. Go watch and thank me ❤️ -Oba

@tolulope_scents UI's admission is on merit. If you pass your cutoff mark, you'll surely get in. As it is, she has 35.625. If she can aim for 75 to 80 in her PUTME, she'll get in. Last year, the cutoff was 70.625. So needs more than that to be safe. 75-80 is safe enough.

Did you know that Jacob was burried in the caves with Leah and not with Rachael? He chose the quiet wife. Not the one he cried for. Not the one he worked fourteen years to win. Jacob—yes, that Jacob—was buried beside Leah, not Rachel. Let that sit. In Genesis 49:29–31, as Jacob was nearing death, he gave strict instructions: Bury me with my fathers… in the cave… there they buried Abraham and Sarah… Isaac and Rebekah… and there I buried Leah. Leah. Not Rachel. Rachel was the love story. Leah was the covenant story. Rachel had Jacob’s passion. Leah had his promise. Rachel died on the road (Genesis 35:19). Leah was laid to rest in the family grave—the sacred line of promise, the lineage of God’s covenant. And here’s where it cuts deep— Leah was the unwanted one. The overlooked one. The one Jacob never chose first. But God did. From Leah came Judah—and from Judah came Jesus Christ. Let that shake you. The woman who was second in a man’s eyes became central in God’s plan. But here’s what we miss… We chase being “Rachel”—desired, seen, validated. But heaven often builds legacy through the “Leah seasons”—the places of rejection, quiet obedience, and unseen faithfulness. Jacob’s burial wasn’t just about love. It was about alignment. At the end of his life, he didn’t choose romance— he chose covenant. And that’s the Gospel whispering through the dust: God doesn’t build His kingdom on human preference. He builds it on grace. Leah’s story screams this truth— You don’t have to be chosen by people to be chosen by God. And through Jesus, the greater Son of Judah, the rejected become redeemed, the unseen become eternal, and the unloved become fully known. If you feel like Leah today— forgotten, overlooked, second place— hear this: God sees you. God uses you. God writes history through you.

Personal (bad) Experience from WAEC Past Recruitment (2013) @waecnigeria In 2013, @waecnigeria placed a recruitment advert for different roles, and I applied for the Assistant Examinations Officer III  (Computer Services) with my ND in computer science as at then. Many applicants were invited for aptitude (pen on paper) test in-person at one Baptist School, Obanikoro, Lagos. A few of us later made it to the interview at their Yaba office in Lagos (invitation letter attached to this post). We were interviewed, and simple questions were asked. A few of us who were interviewed exchanged contacts (emails) through which we were communicating. TILL DATE, NO FEEDBACK, NO REJECTION EMAIL FROM WAEC!!! 😢 We were all left hanging for years because we didn't expect a reputable organisation like waec to treat us that way. The rest is history... To other recruitment firms out there that don't provide feedback to applicants, you can do better. WAEC NIGERIA, YOU CAN DO BETTER THIS TIME TOO. Good luck to your applicants in the ongoing recruitment process 👍
