Jeremiah is running for House District 57 so that no family in Georgia has to struggle to put food on the table or a roof over their head.

It’s official - I’m running to be the next representative for Georgia’s 57th District. What we need right now is a radical change in how our government serves its people. With your support, that is the change I will fight to bring to our state. #gapol

@adamlumly @EvansforGeorgia Thank you so much for your support! We're one of the furthest left districts in the state and I think our constituents deserve someone who will vocally and uncompromisingly fight for corporate accountability, public education, a living wage, and expanding transit.

How many mailers do you think it takes a career politician to gaslight voters into believing she's a working class hero? Apparently, at least 9. Corporations have bought out my opponent for the low price of $500k because they know she'll boost their profit 100x over. #gapol

Sure, you might be a fan of public transit, but are you a "get a tattoo of your local transit system" fan? Because as of yesterday, I am. @MARTAtransit, I'm ready to join the secret MARTA fan club now.

I also hate it because more people should use the bus! Which would be a lot easier if it ran more reliably and more frequently than every 30 minutes.

I love riding the bus on the weekends because you usually have it almost all to yourself.

"We don't want to be urbanized!" = "We paid good money to segregate ourselves and we don't want *those* people coming into our neighborhoods." "Transit increases crime!" = "I think people are going to take the train to steal my TV and gilded garden gnomes!"

This is infuriating. Not the part where Cobb is finally going to vote on meaningful transit 62 years late. What's so frustrating is that it's 2023 and the main opposition to transit isn't even the cost, it's white people afraid of Black people. ajc.com/neighborhoods/…

abolish the crime beat! outlets with a section dedicated to reporting on the things that police define as crime are giving cops narrative control. you won’t see police arrest a CEO for wage theft but you’ll see them arrest a poor person for stealing fromTarget. which harms more?

Meanwhile, one in five children in GA are living in poverty. This isn't about protecting kids, it's about criminalizing trans people and riling up conservative voters. Trans kids are already at horrifyingly high risk of self-harm and state Republicans just made it worse. #gapol
Greg Bluestein@bluestein

Georgia Gov. Kemp just signed legislation that would prevent medical professionals from giving transgender children certain hormones or surgical treatment. #gapol

This is purely political persecution. These are people who were exercising their 1st Amendment rights to try and protect the environment and in some cases, people who weren't even protesting - just going to a concert or getting food. The entire "justice" system has failed here.
Hannah Riley Fernandez@hannahcrileyy

next up is an indigenous environmental organizer who ran from police, because, obviously. no footage of them anywhere near the incident site. judge denies bond.

"The best thing the politicians on council can do for their constituents in the City of Atlanta is to get out of the way and let MARTA deliver the projects." Damn, alright. Go off, @MARTAtransit. itsmarta.com/statement-on-c…

Hear me out: abolish all cars on Ponce and North Avenue within five blocks of Ponce City Market, at least on Saturdays. Is this a good idea? I have no idea. It just feels right.

Just stop and think about this for a minute — what if YOUR city transformed a key main street this coming summer (like Montreal did with #MontRoyal, actually one of TEN such street transformations last summer) into a 2.5km long pedestrian promenade & living room with 2700 seats?
