Last week, @Google began installation of fiber internet service near the Warner Ranch Neighborhood. Nearly 85,000 linear feet of fiber will be installed in this area and once complete, residents and business owners within the service area will have access to GFiber high speed internet. This is being coordinated with street repaving to ensure lower costs and increased resident convenience. This project was the first approved fiber permit under Tempe’s new Fiber License and Right-of-Way Use agreement. The permit was created by Tempe City Council last fall to encourage all internet service providers to increase the availability of low-cost, high-speed internet in Tempe. The Health System Alliance of Arizona supports the negotiated bipartisan budget as passed by the AZ Senate. It ends the additional hospital tax this year. This budget presents an opportunity to continue to work to lower the tax impact to AZ hospitals and minimize Medicaid underpayments which is critical to sustaining access to care for all Arizonans.  We encourage the House, Senate & Governor to pass a responsible budget this week for the benefit of Arizonans.
