To those that use Cursor. Why do you prefer it over VSCode + Codex/Claude Code extensions? What am I missing?

@zekramu @ryanvogel Vendor lock in? We easily moved our Next app from Vercel to Render. If you don’t like Vercel, there are other options. But for getting off the ground, it’s solid. But can def get pricey as you scale. I still think Render is the best NestJS host.

@ryanvogel except with Vercel you get vendor lock, and nested infra dependencies that you dont know about. yes it’s easy, and yes, they will make money. no one is saying that isn’t true. but popular ≠ good

why are people like this? i used to be the $5 VPS guy, and it still has its applications (i use coolify for my server engines) but vercel is just easier to manage and integrate + their product support is really nice im not gonna dm the coolify founder when my application doesn't deploy

First attempt using GPT-5 (via Cursor). It deleted a (important) file that it was supposed to reference to build blocks. Back to Claude Code it is!

So when GPT5 drops, we all abandon Claude Code and run back to Cursor until Claude 5 drops - that’s the plan, right?

Thought I found an alternative from @GSheetConnector - but it's even more obnoxious. Huge ad at the top of the page. And the best part? The "X" is fake - if you click it, it clicks/opens the ad. Insane these are both available in the WordPress Plugin Directory.
