@FranksNorm @AirCanada It’s outrageous and most of them are stranded abroad with no way home. The pay scale does depend on how long you have been with the company. The junior flight attendants make lower than minimum wage on average in a month. This is why it’s so important to them to be paid fairly.

Out of curiosity what is full wage? Another comment was made that annual salary is $87,000. I would assume this is based on top rate, but curious to know the exact salary range. Also, I find it sickening that the C-suite makes the compensation they do. Nobody is worth $12 million a year unless of course they own the company.

@FranksNorm @AirCanada Second. Flight attendants aren’t paid for security checks, boarding, deplaning, and any kind of ground delays. They are fighting to be paid for those hours. Reporting time is on average 1 hour before a flight. AC wants to give them half wage during this, they want full rate!

@FranksNorm @AirCanada Hey Norm, great questions you have. Air Canada claims they will be the highest paid FAs in Canada. They are generalizing putting all their benefits in a lump of 38%. in actuality it’s only an 8% wage increase over the next 5 years. Not even enough to cover inflation. 1/2

@AirCanada What’s unlawful is not paying your flight attendants for security checks, boarding, deplaning, and ground delays. PAY THEM WHAT THEY DESERVE. You were bailed out twice by the government and paid out bonuses to your executives. Go back and negotiate!!

@ScotiabankHelps once again got through to Fraud department and received the most abhorrent customer service ever. Unapologetic, lack of empathy and didn’t not want to even listen to the frustrations with regards to fraudulent charges on a credit card bill. #customerService

@UPexpress That is not a good enough answer. Aligning it with “other” discount programs is an unacceptable answer. Explain again why a 60% hike from 2019. The public would like a detailed explanation: It will now cost about 1 hour minimum wage just to get too and from YYZ AND DT. #greed

@MayorOliviaChow @Metrolinx is increasing the Airport Employee fare from UNION to PEARSON from 4.94 to 7.41!!! In 2019 it was 3.50!!! How is an 60% increase JUST?! Pls explain. This is outrageous and taking advantage airline employees for the most part isn’t paid enough, already
