The mad thing is Judaism, Christianity and Islam are effectively different denominations of the same religion They all believe Abraham (Ibrahim for Muslims) was first to make convenant with God. Jews believe the convenant passed through his son Isaac and then Jacob. Christians agree. Muslims believe the convenant line passed through his other son Ishmael (Ismail) Christians believe Jesus Christ was the promised Messiah - and part of God (Holy Trinity). Muslims believe Jesus was a prophet but not divine. Jews don’t recognise him as either (I’m an atheist, so don’t believe any of it)

When freedom of speech was guaranteed to us all, mass anonymity of people who wish to engage in public conversation wasn't a thing. I honestly think that the old community standards of Twitter should come back. Insulting somebody? Banned. Racism? Banned. Homophobia? Banned. Unless you are a verified real person. Then and only then you can say anything you like. I know this post will get me hate, however I believe if you have something to say, say it with your chest, say it bravely and own the words you speak. The number of people who are unwilling to own their own words is worrying. Anon attack in 3... 2... 1...

@Krissa_Kray_ I'm in London and speak to lots of tourists. They always say, I'm from Finland, Germany, Albania etc. The exceptions are people from Holland who say they are from the Netherlands (english pronounciation) and if from the USA they say they are American.

Why do we call cities/countries by names other than what their natives call them? Like, why doesn’t EVERYONE call Germany “Deutschland” or why doesn’t everyone call Finland “Suomi” or why doesn’t everyone call Albania “Shqipëri”? One of life’s questions that plagues me. 🤔

Two weeks ago we had solar panels and a battery fitted. We have just completed our first full week with the system. Our electric bill for the week commencing 10th March 2026 compared to the same week last year has dropped by 71% from £31.71 to £9.05. We also have not received our DNO cert yet which would allow us to sell back into the grid. On sunny days our battery has been full by 11:30am meaning we don’t yet benefit from the excess free energy being produced. We are now going to buy an electric car and fill it with free energy. If only all of the UK could do this, it would go along way to reducing the countries high energy costs. @octopusenergy @g__j

@treblahk @FurkanGozukara normally you have reciprical arrangements. eg USA citizens working in london, only pay UK tax, that is the current system.

@FurkanGozukara This makes no sense, if we pay tax in countries which do have tax, does it mean we become double taxed? That is just going to push people to renounce their citizenship.

The UK is considering an American style global tax regime. If you move to zero tax havens like Dubai, you will still be forced to pay British income tax for the privilege of holding a UK passport and getting embassy protection. The tax loopholes might finally close.
