Trevor Story is a pro’s pro who is hitting .208 with a 41-7 walk to strikeout rate and .545 OPS. The Red Sox stuck behind him last year despite a very bad May. The leash will go a few more weeks. Without Cora, if this continues, they will have to consider alternative plans.

@jimsoxfan Has anyone watched Arias play? I have just seen the highlights of him raking, but have not seen an inning in the field to know if he is a legit SS. If so, I’m starting to wonder if they just want Mayer to focus on being a GG 2nd baseman, with the vision of Arias coming in as SS.
