Why doesn't Heritage focus on important issues like the benifits of smaller class sizes, improved accoutability for parents, or how low wages has caused a teacher shortage.

Whether it is a rich or poor student, food and full bellies at school are the difference between active learning and kids failing and healthy food reduces healthcare cost to society later in life.

@lindseymburke As a conservative and former banker i'm surprised we have any teachers given their lack of pay. Maybe we should try paying teachers their private sector rates of pay instead of underpaying teachers 15-30% because you don't want taxes going up.

I’d put the experience of a veteran up against a college of ed credential any day of the week.
