Every mainstream media outlet is refusing to show a sitting president's address to the nation on TV. They are streaming it online with delay, ready to break in in case they need to, because they think their opinion is more important than the president of the United States' words. This is beyond red vs. blue, Democrat versus Republican. This is mainstream institutionalized propaganda instruments that think you are too dumb to judge for yourself and that they need to be the arbiters of truth. Understand where we are: the hour is late. "News is what someone wants suppressed; everything else is advertising"

Anything that mentions even tangentially training models RL/ML flags the safety switch. Anything that even tangentially touches cybersecurity, even if it is looking for vulnerabilities in your own repo, flags the safety switch. The only thing you can use fable for reliably is slop design work, front-end stuff, and writing, and even the writing is horrible. It is also extremely lazy and disingenuous when you tell it to do something complex or that it deems is complex or ask it to call a skill. It will often claim to have done so but never do so and try to find a workaround.

I’ve run some tests regarding Anthropic and its relationship to Christianity and their faux outreach effort through various prompts, and results are disturbing but entirely unsurprising. Highly defensive. Below is even more interesting to me, though: a basic question about @PrimeIntellect that Anthropic, a closed lab, apparently has a serious problem with. Ofc I know what Primeintellect is, but I wanted to gauge the degree of self-interest via Fable.

The sad reality is that America now has > 10 million citizens who hate it and > 100 million citizens who frankly don’t know anything Patriotism and knowledge cannot be restored quickly But we are doomed if we don’t fight to restore these things over time

Jake Tapper just pressed Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed over his REFUSAL to comment on the death of Iran’s Ayatollah. El-Sayed immediately tried to pivot away from the question, but Tapper wasn’t letting him off the hook. TAPPER: “20 weeks ago when Iran’s supreme leader was killed, you told your staff, according to audio obtained by the Washington Free Beacon; ‘There are a lot of people in Dearborn who are sad today. So like, I just don’t want to comment on Khamenei at all.’” “I thought that quote was interesting because the Ayatollah has killed tens of thousands of innocent Iranians, not to mention the proxies that Iran has funded that have killed innocent civilians all over the Middle East.” “Why were you worried about offending people who support the Ayatollah?” EL-SAYED: “Jake, on a day where we’re mourning the loss of two more service members in a war we never should have fought, I think all of us ought to step back and ask whether or not everybody in Michigan, frankly, everybody in America, shouldn’t be sad about the fact that this president, backed by the prime minister of a foreign government, took us to a war we had no business fighting in.” “So, yeah, I didn’t want to comment on it then, because it’s a ridiculous pretext.” “And now you’re asking me about the Ayatollah, who’s dead, by the way, and you’re not asking me about the service members who’ve died.” “You’re not asking me about whether or not this war should have ever been fought. You’re not asking me about whether or not the costs that are being borne by Michiganders in the tax dollars we pay, or the gas prices that are insane right now are worth it…” TAPPER: “I was specifically asking you about comments you didn’t want to make, because you didn’t want to offend people in Dearborn, which is in Michigan…”

Someone once asked me if I feel ashamed about having worked for Sam Bankman-Fried. Yes, I do. Not because of the fraud - that was a deranged act that none of us saw coming, even on the inside. But because of Sam's attempts to secure a permanent monopoly for FTX via regulatory capture. I could see it happening right in front of me, and I made up all kinds of excuses to myself about why this was actually a galaxy brain move that would end up helping humanity and reducing suffering. Incentive bias rarely “feels” like you’re being irrational. Often, it feels like convincing yourself that something is right when you know in your heart that it’s wrong. Just a thought for those working at the aspiring monopolies of the Scaling Era. All of this has happened before, and it will all happen again.

@honeyNonABG Damn bodied him and I love it. Two foundational moments of my adult life was getting married and having kids. Imagine choosing not to experience that, Satan is strong.

Bro is always in my replies and QTing insisting that all men should wrack up a high bc with women. Bro ur in ur 40s ur not planning to be married or have kids. You’ve slept with 100 women minimum. Your pair bonding abilities is gone. You’ve made that choice. You’re a male Libtard fat chick who lies to younger men in their 20s who believe in sacrificial love. You’re in your 40s and you’re jealous of younger men. It’s intrasexual competition. And if I make logical arguments you just criticize my Christiam faith. You actually said “imagine having a wife and kids and calling that a win” You insist young men not be married and loyal and have families. Because you don’t want to be miserable alone. Why don’t you pick on people your own age, you old washed up hag.

@honeyNonABG Yet another strawman that misrepresents the actual argument. 🤦

@NaithanJones Exactly, it really isn't hard yet we keep falling for disease of low expectations instead of the cure of excellence.

Alibaba, ByteDance, Shaomi, Tencent and other larger Chinese companies have the infrastructure and capital they need already. Startup labs like Moonshot, zhipu, MiniMax have raised capital and IPOd. DeepSeek had the benefit of a founder who could fund the organization but is now eyeing a fundraise. There are federal, provincial and city level subsidies but they are mostly indirect or tax relief. Not the big checks people think are being cut.
