I love you, but you’re not a serious football club #COYS

@claudelittner He will have totally lost what little respect he might have had within the dressing room. He has to go.

If the weren’t already enough signs, the manager should be dismissed for his treatment of Kinsky alone. #COYS #THFC

🚨𝐉𝐔𝐒𝐓 𝐈𝐍! | Guglielmo Vicario is expected to return to Italy this summer regardless of Spurs’ Premier League status. 🔎There’s interest from Inter and Juventus while Roma are also watching developments. 🗞️[@MailSport via Simon Jones] #THFC | #COYS | #TOTTENHAM | #SPURS

@ParkLaneBlock40 Detest is strong. But agree he’s a terrible goalkeeper. I’m sure our defenders are constantly on edge because of his shortcomings (see VdV red card tonight as one example)

If you step back and look at the trajectory of the club over the past few seasons, none of this should really come as a shock to any Spurs supporter. For the best part of three years the direction of travel has clearly been downward. Results, squad depth, recruitment strategy and identity have all been drifting, and when a club drifts for that long the consequences eventually show up in the league table. For a while the decline was disguised by the presence of elite individuals. When you have players of the calibre of Kane and Son producing moments of quality week after week, they can paper over structural problems. Goals arrive when performances do not deserve them. Games are rescued by brilliance rather than system. That creates the illusion that the team is competitive when, in reality, the foundations are slowly eroding. The difficulty is that once those individual safety nets disappear, the underlying issues are suddenly exposed. Recruitment gaps, inconsistent tactical direction, and the lack of a settled football identity become much harder to hide. What we are seeing now is less a sudden collapse and more the logical end point of a decline that has been unfolding in plain sight. So the real question is not why people are upset now, but why so many were willing to believe everything was fine while those warning signs were already there. Spurs did not fall off a cliff overnight. This has been a slow slide, and anyone watching closely could see it coming.

Archie btw. Feel for the lad. Played in about 20 different positions and drafted in as cover majority of the time. 19 year old showing more fight than established experienced players.

None of these players are going to give their all for a manager they know will be gone in the summer.

Don’t get me wrong, relegation would be hideous in ways I can’t yet wrap my head around, but I do think things are so broken that Poch rebuilding with a group of youngsters and players who want to be here could begin to restore something fundamental — that broken fan:player bond.

@JackPittBrooke And Pochettino, who famously doesn’t like working under a sporting director, will be happy to work with two?
