@JBen_80 It's only a "terrible" pick if he plays significantly worse than a mid 2nd round pick is expected to. Based on value (consensus board), he's a steal, before playing any snaps. If he's a serviceable starter, he remains a steal. If he's good to great, it's highway robbery.

Remember when I told you all Ruke was a reach and was a project...and you told me I was wrong.... Well, if you've followed me for any length of time, you know how I feel about the Falcons first pick this year. Its a terrible pick with a feel a good story. He's not good.

@rdriver123 @ATLWill_ Yes they do. The Falcons have played in some of the best prime time games the past few years. Also, we have multiple star players, including the most dynamic RB in the league, who's many people's #1 pick in fantasy.

@CalderAtl28 @BKsquared7 Our QB situation is the best its been since Ryan. Both QBs are better than Mariota, Ridder, Heinicke and Cousins. Yet those QBs got worse versions of our roster to 7/8 wins. Penix had a solid sophomore season outside of the injury, and Tua with a fresh start could bounce back.

@realdanmitchell So Arthur Smith and Raheem Morris get no less than 7 wins from worse Falcons rosters, with Mariota, Ridder, Heinicke and washed Cousins starting, but playoff HC Kevin Stefanski only gets 3 wins with one of our better rosters and QB situations?

@bunchofgreen @stiz23 @BKsquared7 The Falcons didn't get worse anywhere except LB with the loss of Elliss. Tua > Kirk. McGary didn't even play last season and Jawaan Taylor is better than Wilkinson. Folk has to be better than what we've had at K. Branch, Dotson and Zaccheus is a major WR core upgrade.

@bunchofgreen @landen1x @tracegirouard48 Bruh, we both finished 8-9 last season. Nobody in this division is "way better" than any of the other teams. Also, our new head coach is a 2x Coach of the Year winner. Regardless of what you think of him, the evidence suggests he's the better HC.

@IsaacPunts @FlamesAdvocate There are a lot of dumb rules in every game and sport that are dumb in and of themselves. A fictional sport, but perfect example: the Snitch in Quiddich. That CFL rule is one of them. It's not because American football does it differently, but because it's dumb.

@RiseUpReader I'm from Georgia. The Falcons made the NFC championship in the 2004 season and all my friends were talking about it, so I watched it. Then, I went back and watched each Falcons game of the 2004 season. I already knew the rules becaause I had one of the Madden games on SNES.

@avy3n Saints should be last for QB. Shough looks pretty good, but what he showed last year wasn't that much better than what Penix showed. And what we've seen of Tua's ceiling is much higher than either Penix or Shough.

very stupid. the NFL doesn’t have a tanking problem bc it doesn’t listen to this nonsense. every year NFL teams openly tank, even for 1 spot lower in the draft. week 18 is 1/3 unwatchable bc of it but no one cares bc Goodell isn’t dumb enough to change rules for gambling apps

The reason the NFL doesn't have as big of a tanking problem is because the safety risks built into the game of football force a certain level of self-seriousness/competence at the low end that NBA basketball doesn't require.
