President Trump made another outstanding selection by picking Kevin Warsh to lead the Federal Reserve. I look forward to working with Chairman Warsh in the years to come to fix the runaway inflation under Joe Biden, keep our capital markets strong, and refocus the Federal Reserve on its dual mandate of price stability and full domestic employment.

People have been pulling away from these restaurants for a while too because of the GLP1’s. But besides that, the CEO of whirlpool said that people aren’t buying appliances now. And other CEOs of consumer staple companies are complaining that people are not purchasing regular everyday items anymore The news is complicit to Trump. So they are refusing to report the recession that we are in. And the White House lies about how good the economy is because of the stock market where 40% of the money there is in the mag 7 stocks while everything else is going to shit.

Tonight, I voted to reauthorize section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA)—a surveillance authority used to collect foreign intelligence on non-U.S. persons overseas. When properly used, section 702 has helped to identify and disrupt foreign terrorist plots against the U.S., including the 2009 NYC subway plot and the 2022 operation that killed Ayman al-Zawahiri, the successor to Osama Bin Laden, the chief ideologue and strategist of Al Queda’s operations after Bin Laden was killed. This reauthorization preserves the 56 substantive reforms I voted in the Reforming Intelligence and Securing America Act (RISAA), after the FBI under disgraced former Director James Comey used the FISA program to target the MAGA movement. FISA must always remain a national security tool and never a political weapon. This bill ensures this program is strong while Americans’ civil liberties are protected.
