Congratulations to Adm. Lisa Franchetti. She was just nominated by President Joe Biden to become the first woman ever to be the top officer of the U.S. Navy. Not only will Franchetti be the first woman to lead the Navy if approved by the Senate, but she will become the first woman to be a US military service chief. Quite the accomplishment! She was nominated by Biden despite the fact that his Defense Secretary recommended someone else. Now it’s up to the US Senate to approve her nomination. Here is a video from 2021 of Franchetti congratulating the Winter Quarter graduates of the Naval Postgraduate School. Do you support her nomination? Will we see the first woman to lead the Navy? What are your thoughts?

It appears that Trump could very likely be brought up on racketeering charges in the Fani Willis investigation in Fulton County, Georgia as well as multiple charges in D.C. related to January 6th. This would mean that 4 different Grand Juries would have indicted him and 4 different judges would have signed off on dozens of warrants and subpoenas based on probable cause. You can claim that the DOJ is politicized but 60+ Grand Jurors, and 4 judges are NOT all political in nature. I just don’t understand how the GOP can’t find someone better for 2024.

Meet Celeste Burgess. She was just sentenced to 90-days in jail and two years’ probation after being found guilty of having an illegal abortion when she was a minor at 17 years old. Abortions in Nebraska are illegal after 12 weeks. Her abortion took place at 29 weeks. Facebook turned over private messages from Burgess to authorities which provided them evidence to indict and convict her. It is important to note that Burgess also disposed of the fetus with her mother's help. So a few questions: Is Meta to Blame? Was the punishment unjust being that she was a minor? Clearly the abortion was late-term. She could have gotten an abortion earlier. Is the State right? Thoughts?
