1/4 Our @biorxivpreprint, 'Origin of Ewing Sarcoma by Embryonic Reprogramming of Neural Crest to Mesoderm' is now available on bioRxiv! In this study, we explore the enigmatic origin of Ewing sarcoma using our zebrafish genetic cancer models. We revealed that neural crest cells can uniquely tolerate EWSR1::FLI1 expression, leading to tumor formation in vivo. We had an excellent Young Investigators Research Summit this week! 💛 Each year, ALSF partners with @NM_Financial to bring together Young Investigators, ‘A’ Awardees and Center of Excellence Scholars to meet with other grantees funded by ALSF. Attendees learn about the latest childhood cancer research, connect with leaders in the field, explore ideas for collaboration and learn from expert speakers through poster sessions and panel discussions. Thank you Northwestern Mutual for hosting the summit at your headquarters in Milwaukee this year!


Dr. Jessica Tsai’s passion for pediatrics and brain science led her to a career as a physician-scientist, focusing on childhood #cancer. As a St. Baldrick’s Fellow, @jestsai kickstarted her research on #DIPG, a pediatric brain cancer.
