@DellCares I’ve already been in contact via DM and with your escalation team. I understand the policy being cited, but I’m still trying to understand the rationale for not allowing support to be purchased for a brand new replacement system.

Dell replaced my laptop after a repair went sideways (appreciated). But they’ve now confirmed the replacement can NEVER have support added—not even if I pay for ProSupport Plus. So: brand-new machine, zero long-term support options. @DellCares can you help me understand this?

@JessStarlite @DellCares This doesn't make any sense. If it's a new computer (even if it's a replacement), you should get that same support options as any other new computer! I have had my own terrible experiences recently with Dell support, so I can empathize.

@JessStarlite @DellCares You break her laptop, agree to replace it, which says to me that you recognize your fault, then refuse to provide protection for the new machine? This says to me you’re giving her a faulty machine but won’t admit it. That’s bad customer service and an ugly shade on your company.

@JustTara25 The new machine is actually top-of-the-line, and a worthy replacement for the flagship laptop I bought in '21. They're NOT trying to pawn a subpar machine on me...but they're still not letting me buy support for the brand new, gorgeous, top-of-the-line machine they're providing.

@Keltoicrone @DellCares Listen, if they'll let you buy Dell ProSupport Plus, I continue to recommend Dell *and* their support! Every Dell ProSupport Plus experience I've had was fantastic. It was the out-of-warranty repair experience that was a nightmare, and that's what they're now pushing me into.

@JessStarlite @DellCares I have also loved my Dell machines. But, in addition to the desktops, I have to get a laptop for court. That means less than graceful lawyers carrying it around. You know repairs will be needed.

@Keltoicrone @DellCares The wild thing is, I have loved all of my Dell machines! I’ve been a loyal Dell customer for decades now, and I’m really excited about the replacement laptop they’re providing. I just want them to take my money so I can get it serviced if it ever needs it! 😭

For clarity: This has already been through standard support, executive escalation & now @DellCares who directed me back to the same policy. Dell has confirmed this new replacement system can never have support—even if I want to pay for it. Still trying to make sense of that.

…on my return itinerary, it says it was successful shared on Airside’s app but remains marked “incomplete” (with no option to try again) on Alaska’s app. Every single time. Outgoing works, return trip doesn’t. This is SO frustrating. I just want my boarding passes! 😭 2/2
