@ItsEmilyKaty I only check this platform once a month or less... It's funny to see this one when I was visiting Hay-on-Wye last week. The area is beautiful, and somehow, all these book shops remain thriving!

I just learned there is a real life book town with 26 bookshops for 2000 residents. Some are themed including murder mystery, poetry, gothic & art, with many second hand bookshops, all in a little village by a river. It is Hay-on-Wye, Wales and I must visit the magic immediately.

I feel like my life would be much easier if I had Grammerly for my brain and not just a sneaky free version to help refine my report writing.

#MySLTday big thank you to @what3words for the info & graphics for me to create a QR code for the appointment base. Many are missed because people attend the wrong site. I'm hoping the QR code on letters will make a difference, particularly for those who don't have English as L1

I know it’s the last day of July, I haven’t had the spoons or energy to do much for Disability Pride Month. (July has been interesting for me). But I’d like to say something: “I’m disabled & proud!” 💜. Two words I’d have never have said, let alone in the same sentence! Cont…

@Peston SM is NOT a choice; 'selective' is a medical term meaning 'not pervasive'; ie the person is sometimes able to speak, when they aren't too anxious. Impacts all communication not just speech. Is possible to support dev of communication sensitively and supportively - TALK to SMiRA!

"SMiRA, the national charity for selective mutism, a condition in which anxiety prevents some children from communicating in school, agrees with RCSLT and would also be keen to help shape any policy or planning @uklabour @rcsltpolicy
RCSLTpolicy@RCSLTpolicy

We hope that any plans to develop children’s speaking & communication skills will be inclusive of those who communicate differently or who need additional support with their speech, language or communication. @RCSLT would be delighted to work with @UKLabour to help achieve this.
