NEW: FedEx driver who is accused of abducting and strangling a seven-year-old girl, puts his face in his hand as a photo is displayed of him driving her to her death.
7-year-old Athena Strand was seen standing behind Tanner Horner in his FedEx truck.
Athena was allegedly snatched by Horner when he was delivering a Barbie doll to her home in Paradise, Texas.
Horner initially claimed that he accidentally hit the girl with the truck before "panicking" and pulling her into the vehicle.
He said he then strangled her in the vehicle and dumped the body 7 miles from the home.
The photo, however, shows that Athena was alert in the truck and did not appear to have been struck by the truck.
Wise County District Attorney James Stainton says the jury will see footage on the day of the killing, depicting the moment Athena was strangled to death.
"Somebody covered up the camera because they don't want you to see. Guess what? Audio is still running, and you're going to hear it. You're going to hear what a 250-pound man can do to a 67-pound child," he said.
"And when I say it's horrible, I mean it. I've been doing this for 25 years, and I promise you, buckle up."
Horner qualifies for the death penalty.

While part of a US Army Special Forces unit in the Pacific for a couple years, I spent a summer in Australia with G Troop and E Troop from the SAS,along with our Aussie EOD counterparts from the Special Operations Engineer Regiment.
Some of the best dudes I ever worked with.
Many of them were close friends with Ben.
In true Aussie fashion, one called him, “The best fuggin’ cunt I’ve ever known.”
The highest of praise from those guys.
They love him. A real Australian patriot and a great man.
The SASR and SOER bros even took us to the Australian War Memorial in Canberra one weekend, where we saw the Hall of Valour with his display in it, pictured below.
This story says a lot about the direction that country’s headed. What a shame.

The Australian government just arrested our most decorated veteran from the Afghanistan War for alleged war crimes. Ben Roberts-Smith was awarded the Victoria Cross for Australia after singlehandedly storming two Taliban machine gun positions by himself in order to save his own SAS team. And this is how we repay him. I spoke to an Australian Afghan war veteran who told me that the Australian government literally paid for billboards in Afghanistan offering to pay random Afghans to come forward with war crime allegations. What country on Earth would do this to itself? Tell me: When does the Taliban plan on holding war crimes tribunals into their own people? When do the Taliban plan on holding themselves accountable for terrorism? Absolutely retarded to purge your own men when fighting a brutal barbaric enemy that respects no rules whatsoever. Nong Noon, seorang remaja berusia 19 tahun asal Chiang Mai, memutuskan merantau demi mencari penghasilan. Ia bekerja di sebuah toko minuman bernama Nam Khon Nam yang berada di dalam kompleks Lotus Krabi. Kehidupan barunya berjalan sederhana, diisi rutinitas kerja dan interaksi dengan rekan-rekan di sekitarnya.
Menjelang akhir Maret 2026, sebuah kejadian kecil memicu ketegangan. Saat Noon menutup peti es, tutupnya terpental dan tanpa sengaja mengenai Fon, perempuan 32 tahun yang bekerja di kios bakso goreng di sebelahnya. Insiden itu memang tidak menimbulkan luka serius, tetapi cukup memicu kesalahpahaman di antara keduanya.
Beberapa hari kemudian, tepatnya pada 4 April 2026 sekitar pukul 19.52, suasana pusat perbelanjaan mulai sepi karena akan tutup. Dalam kondisi tersebut, muncul kekhawatiran soal alat penggorengan yang diduga belum dimatikan. Situasi yang semula tampak sepele berubah menjadi momen yang menentukan. Fon mengambil minyak panas dari penggorengan, lalu menuangkannya ke arah Noon dalam tindakan yang mengejutkan.
Padahal, menurut pengakuan Noon, hubungan mereka sebelumnya terbilang baik. Ia mengenal Fon sebagai pribadi jujur dan ramah. Bahkan, Noon kerap membuatkan kopi setiap pagi dan es teh beberapa jam sebelum kejadian sebagai bentuk perhatian kecil kepada rekannya itu. Ia pun mengaku sangat terpukul dan tidak menyangka peristiwa tersebut bisa terjadi.
Kini Noon harus menjalani perawatan intensif di Rumah Sakit Provinsi Krabi. Tim medis menyatakan luka bakar yang dideritanya cukup serius, meliputi lebih dari 30 persen tubuhnya. Proses pemulihan diperkirakan panjang dan belum dapat dipastikan kapan akan berakhir, meninggalkan luka fisik sekaligus trauma mendalam dari peristiwa tragis tersebut.
