That's not LIFE changing. That might improve the quality of the next few months of your life, maybe even another year or two, but nowhere near your life. I think the discrepancy is coming from the fact that "life" can both refer to your entire lifespan, and your current position in life.

eh i always saw those scenes of aang running inhumanly fast as hyperbolic gag scenes, not something to be taken all that seriously. the day of black sun on the other hand was extremely grounded, realistic depictions of their abilities

What I mean when I say the Avatar writers can't powerscale. Aang is able to move so fast that he's barely visible to the naked eye, yet for some reason, a powerless Azula is able to outrun him. It's so blatantly contrived when you realize that he's keeping pace with Toph and Sokka when he's much faster than them. Poorly written sequence that breaks the powersystem, just to gas Azula.
