One of the issues with the current academic pipeline (among many) is the discontinuity in remuneration from successful graduate student to post doc. Not sure how it is in other countries, but most post docs would be a sufficiently large pay cut that I'm looking at other options.

@miltonwrites Things to consider: Deep meditation might be picking up some of the slack. The effects of long term minor sleep deprivation might be manageable. Microsleeping might be another mechanism by which you make up missing hours. Divine intervention.

Referred to the Laurentide Ice Sheet as the "Big Chungus Ice sheet" to describe how dominant it is in controlling deglacial sea levels. I think that's enough conference for me. #AGU21
