@mpershan I feel like all of the people saying #1 aren’t looking at from an 8yo perspective. I think the first one is close to useless - “why are we adding when we are subtracting?!” While #2 clearly shows relationship to fact families. Checking w/ my 8yo confirmed

If we provide feedback without an opportunity for the student to use it to improve, we've simply told them what they're struggling with and then sent the message that we don't care enough to let them get better at it. Feedback can't just be leaving comments on a page.

Completed orientation this week, meetings next week, then meet my new students at Sacred Heart Cathedral Monday august 15. I am excited to implement MARS tasks and thinking classroom for Alg 1 and BJC and Khan for AP computer science principles. Excited for HS culture!
