What a day on Kent Island, working with @RyanNorrisSci to deploy 16 Song Meters for our ongoing study of Savannah Sparrows. It has been a great decade of collaboration with Ryan and with our amazing students and colleagues.

Dr. Ryan Norris@RyanNorrisSci
@DMennill and I have been working together on the Kent Island Savannah sparrows for over 10 yrs now and hang out everyday before and after work but it’s not often we go out together (him song, me demography). Today, I was the song meter assistant.

Last week #teambutterfly visited the McGuire Centre for Lepidoptera and @JCDanielsLab to learn more about their Frosted Elfin butterfly rearing & breeding program. This species has been extirpated from Ontario since the late 1980s and we hope it will be our next success story!

Dr. Sheila Colla, @SaveWildBees, is an extremely inspirational woman who works hard to #savethebees and #supportsocialjustice. Sadly, she has just been diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of thoracic cancer. Please consider supporting her if you can: gofundme.com/f/support-shei…
