Rishi Sunak is choosing to plunge millions into financial despair rather than stand up to private corporations holding our country to ransom. There is an alternative to greedflation — tax the rich, redistribute wealth, and bring energy, water, rail & mail into public ownership.

Cannot believe 21st century Britain has just had an election where there are accounts of "thousands" of people not being allowed to vote, because they didn't have the right ID. Voter fraud was never a problem before. Why have we solved a non-problem by inventing a new one?

Today it has been reported that during our first round of action in England mortality rate was 11.1% above the 5 year average. What they haven’t reported was that in Wales, where no strike action took place, mortality rate was 14% above the 5 year average. 1/3

We're now loosing 50+ pubs a month. Meanwhile, gas is half the price it was in Oct 21. 5 x cheaper than March 22. 7 x cheaper than Aug 22. The Energy firms are ripping the heart out of our High Streets. @ofgem CEO/Board should resign or be sacked.

After resigning as PM, Tony Blair was employed as an advisor to the oil company UI Energy. During the same period, UI Energy acquired three Iraqi oilfields.

When Lineker tweeted against Corbyn in 2017 - absolutely nothing, no-one noticed. When he tweets against Braverman now - suspension. For 20 years, BBC journalists have told us they're impartial because they criticise both sides. Now, suddenly, that doesn't count.

Well done @GaryLineker for standing up for refugees. Well done @IanWright0 for showing the meaning of solidarity. Now, let's mobilise against a politics of cruelty, and defeat this inhumane, illegal & immoral legislation.

BBC Chairman is a former adviser to Rishi Sunak who donated £400k to the Tories. Its Director General stood to be a Tory councillor. But @GaryLineker must step down on the grounds of “impartiality” for criticising the Tories’ shameful attacks on asylum seekers? Rank hypocrisy.

Around a dozen firefighters who entered Grenfell as it burned have been diagnosed with uncurable cancers. It is thought to be linked to exposure to the burning materials which killed that night. I was there and had materials on my body too. We need to know community numbers now.

In 14 years as a doctor I’ve never known such horrific conditions. Patients dying on trolleys with zero dignity. Or screaming & moaning in corridors. Dickensian overcrowding, total implosion. Despair. Weeping staff. Abject misery. Do you care at all @Jeremy_Hunt? @SteveBarclay?
