@MRT1N_ I have been blocked entirely from being the parent volunteer for my kids school’s “gay straight alliance”. Maybe it was because my email mentioned how the name of their club wasn’t inclusive of the community they’re “trying” to support.

@RobButler Way back when, I worked 4X10 with the Wednesday off. It was… THE DREAM! Never work more than 2 days in a row, and no feeling of catching up from the beginning/end of the week rush. Highly recommend!

@MavenOfMayhem I signed up to display at my first Lego convention. I have anxiety and often feel my friends don’t actually like me…but since posting I’m going, several people have messaged that they are excited to meet me & I’ve been happy crying about it this morning 😭 my heart is so full ❤️

@AnneCast7 @AmandaBernardo I wish! My job takes such a mental toll on me that I basically sleep Sat/Sun (don’t worry! I make sure my kids are fed! But they’re old enough to prepare their own snacks). I know this is a Poisson d’avril, but legit, give me Wed off. I’m already doing 10+ hrs a day…

Nothing that requires PCR tests. “Travel” does not have to mean some resort, some out of country destination. With your assumption, your privilege is showing.

@JonWardo @cmckenney @ArielTroster I know of the (kinda broken down) ones at the forest by Nepean sportsplex, and the mooney’s bay one (super good!). I don’t know of any in centre town though… or, any downtown at all

The more I travel the more of these outdoor gyms I see. Why don’t we have then in Ottawa? The river and canal pathways would be perfect. Cheap to build and free, COVID-safe exercise for citizens. For the election platform, @cmckenney and @ArielTroster ?

@MProvost26 @worldofabe While I love this as a goal, and hope for it as a participant… as someone who organizes it all, and needs to get ALL the approvals, sending it even 2 days before is often tricky. #AspirationalGoals

@worldofabe For accessibility, whenever possible, offer separate E & F. If it must be bilingual, at least send both decks in advance, 1 week if possible. Showing both decks on same screen makes it really small & hard to read.

Presenting to a multi-lingual (French and English) audience, which approach is best? a) Presenting all content in both languages b) Alternating French and English slides and speaking (50/50 content split) c) Presenting all slides in one language and speaking in the other language

@Jen_MacDougall One of the hardest things is that we can’t see people’s schedules if they’re not in our department. It’s basically a crap shoot booking with people outside my dept. I also have recurring meetings booked for admin stuff throughout the week. So, Thursdays is filing emails, etc.

I need help getting my calendar under control. Do you LIMIT the number of MEETINGS you take per day? I would like to find time to get my work done and maybe get some personal development in 2022.

@DawnSev @RobButler Whaaaat??? This changes my perspective! I always thought his look was more like a prison warden from the 50s/60s! Not in a bad way because he is such a kind human! Now I’m picturing him skanking like a good ska performer… and I love it!

@AmandaBernardo I joined the GoC with my married name. Changing back to my maiden name after separation was not easy and, TBH, kind of traumatic 🤷‍♀️

@cmckenney Rush hour from Barrhaven and back is as busy as pre-pandemic times… transit is empty. So folks like me would rather spend on gas/parking 1-2 times a week than pay for transit. Raise fares and it will only get worse 🤷‍♀️
