@wannabekraze That one turn in GTA V where people go flying off a cliff because they refuse to slow down or break is an IQ test

@potina_ It's based on how they play the game, AI "drivatars". He probably plays like it's Mario Kart and Burnout and doing laps backwards ramming into people head on.

@mhartl !This makes complete sense and it probably would already be implemented if people weren't overly rigid, conservative and bureaucratic. ?I wonder how efficient language could truly be if humans didn't get so hung up on tradition.

I recently realized it makes more sense for question marks or exclamation points to come at the beginning of a sentence, with periods reserved to mark the end: ?Why not do this. !You know right away what kind of sentence it is. It may look strange, but we would quickly adjust.

@sleepmancer @rainesofearth @PeterDiamandis Your "the economy around it" akin to conspiratorial "they" claims is a vague lazy answer. Then you proceed to dodge it resorting to childish insults. You have no desire for an honest intellectual debate and are just frustrated I didn't give you an easy win. You resigned, muted🧵.

@JessyNolan @rainesofearth @PeterDiamandis Well good thing I'm not a debate pervert. You're a devoted fan of AI and have put no real mental effort into understanding the conversation around it. You didn't ask a question, you tried to trow out a silly little strawman narrative. It's intellectually gross. Idiotic even.

Your grandchildren will not understand why anyone was afraid of AI. The same way you don't understand why anyone was afraid of electricity in the 19th century.

@sleepmancer @rainesofearth @PeterDiamandis Ad hominems are a terrible debate tactic that just makes you look childish and strips you of credibility. If what I said truly was that stupid you'd very easily able to dismantle my argument, but instead you go for playground insults. I hope life gets better for you, truly.

@JessyNolan @rainesofearth @PeterDiamandis Well that may often be your perspective, as an idiot. See the question is stupid enough to signal that you have so little comprehension of the topic at hand that speaking to you seriously is a waste of anyone's time. It probably happens fairly often to you. Good luck out there.

@sleepmancer @rainesofearth @PeterDiamandis You're saying there are people who want AI to go out of control leading to catastrophe? Who. Name names. Your answer is the equivalent of a conspiracy nut saying "they". Who are they?

@TrueSlazac LLM transformers spooked me back in 2019 too. Seeing AI generate something like that back then even if it was mediocre by today's standards was a scary look into the future.

The Google engineer that went insane for thinking an AI was sentient looks a lot dumber when you realize this was before ChatGPT even released This guy was oneshotted by something most likely less advanced than the first version of ChatGPT

@MoZarrinsadaf Gen Z and Y (Milnls) naively believe they won't become out of touch as the younger gens Alpha and Beta learn and grow in ways to achieve better outcomes, Gen Y and Z will hold onto their old ways of life with a death grip. You individually do not have to go down that path.
