Once again goes to show the advantage a primarily mmo dev team has when it comes to quickly implementing feedback in a single Player game. PA could’ve easily removed a fun exploit like most devs. Instead they chose to improve it and add new animations. it’s much harder to adapt the other way around.

@JesterAronn @TheMcDuffys @WillJPowers I've tried everything on the console and on my own television, but haven't gotten any good results. Now I'm waiting for an update. On the first day, I considered uninstalling it until it improved, but I can't. I enjoyed the game too much to leave it for later.

@TheMcDuffys @WillJPowers @ThiagoTerr7769 It might not be the same for you but after tweaking with my settings forever I realized my hdr was chopped and after messing with my monitors hdr settings it seemed to help immensely. Definitely still some big issues with indoor lighting tho hopefully it gets fixed soon🤞🏼

During development, some 2D visual props were created as part of early-stage iteration using experimental AI generative tools. These assets helped us rapidly explore tone and atmosphere in the earlier phases of production. However, our intention has always been for any such assets to be replaced, following final work and review by our art and development teams, with work that aligned with our quality standards and creative direction. Following reports from our community, we have identified that some of these assets were unintentionally included in the final release. This is not in line with our internal standards, and we take full responsibility for it. We also acknowledge that we should have clearly disclosed our use of AI. While these tools were primarily used during early production, with the expectation that these assets would be replaced prior to release, we recognize that this does not excuse the lack of transparency. We sincerely apologize for these oversights. We are currently conducting a comprehensive audit of all in-game assets and are taking steps to replace any affected content. Updated assets will be rolled out in upcoming patches. In parallel, we are reviewing and strengthening our internal processes to ensure greater transparency and consistency in how we communicate with players moving forward.

Crimson Desert is a great example of what happens when developers actually listen to their players. The team saw that people were unhappy with specific aspects of the game and addressed them immediately. No excuses, no deflection, no fake narratives about “reviewbombing” or blaming gamers for their own shortcomings. Just action. This is also why I’m genuinely looking forward to playing Lords of the Fallen later. The developers there seem to take player feedback seriously as well. When issues are raised, they don’t ignore them or pretend everything is fine. They acknowledge the problems and work to fix them. That’s exactly the kind of studio I want to support. My money goes to developers who deliver, who stay open to criticism, and who actually try to improve when something doesn’t land right. And honestly, congrats to Pearl Abyss. The speed at which they addressed the concerns players brought up is impressive. The difference in community sentiment compared to launch day is huge. That’s something I personally appreciate a lot. What people forget is that trust isn’t built through trailers or marketing. It’s built through how a studio reacts when things go wrong. Anyone can hype a game before release. Very few can take criticism, adjust quickly, and show players that their voice actually matters. Studios that do this earn long‑term loyalty, not just day‑one sales.

@TrustedJustus I genuinely don’t think the control scheme is bad. It’s that it tries to do so much with limited keybinds. This coming from someone playing mouse and keyboard It’s different but I don’t think that makes it bad. Movement and targeting can be clunky though still 🤷‍♂️

Confirmed GenAI use that was undisclosed to Steam and now they're apologizing claiming it's a simple "Oversight" that somehow sat in their game for YEARS and made into a huge launch. Then somehow overlooked it when putting it on Steam, where they would have been asked about AI use. Pearl Abyss lied to platforms to get it on the market, Crimson Desert is riddled with GenAI assets that stole from real artists. Supporting this kind of behavior from a company will destroy gaming, leaving us with a mediocre hellscape of boring, uninteresting trash like every AI video out there, everything will become shit mobile ads. Say no to this trash, get refunds and spend that money on indies who are actually doing things right.
