@thesobersuccess I’m in day 96 so we are close to each other on this journey. Although I feel great, I think of it as putting out a campfire one thimble of water at a time. Enjoy the beauty of the world around you, cherish the support you have and stay resolved yet patient. You got this!

Navigating the Depths of Transformation GM - Its Day 82 Hello to all the new followers, I'm blown away by all the responses and support that has been received and shared. Thank you! Today I'd like to share with you why I'm here, but before i start I'd like to thank @fearless_rising and @JTBDiego for a conversation they had. It likened addiction to Mauna Kea, a mountain partly submerged in water. This parallels the hidden suffering of addiction, which only begins to heal when we reach the surface. Alright here it goes, I’m Cam, My voyage commenced below the surface too, but not in the serene ocean depths - it was the world of drugs and alcohol that beckoned at the tender age of 13. By the time I reached 20, I had already danced with various substances, brushed with the law, and narrowly avoided prison. Then, an unexpected windfall of £10,000 arrived after my beloved Grandma's passing. For a 20-year-old living paycheck to paycheck, this was a rare gift. With newfound freedom, I booked a flight, seeking an escape from my self-destructive lifestyle. I landed in Southeast Asia and journeyed on to Australia, a year filled with parties and substance abuse. It was a whirlwind of fun and memorable moments, but, deep down, I was running from grief and my troubled past. As the year drew to a close, I found myself in Darwin, homeless, with just $20 to my name, fresh off my last acid trip. It was a stark wake-up call that I had a problem, but at 21, I thought I had the world figured out. Reality, however, was far harsher. A call to my Dad led to a surprising homecoming. I planned to visit my Nan, but the next morning brought a devastating revelation. My Nan was gone, and I never had the chance to say goodbye. This loss hit me like a freight train. I spiraled back into the comfort of drugs and alcohol, this time driven by resentful vengeance rather than escape. I concealed my pain with a fake smile at public events, but beneath the surface, I was crumbling. Out of fear of abandonment stemming from Nan's passing, I sabotaged a loving relationship and relocated to Sweden for work, indulging in isolation and my private hell. My drinking escalated, leading to bottles of rum by my bedside. Accidents at work let me know I had outlived my welcome again. Back home, I managed to limit my drinking to weekends as long as I ran daily and ate reasonably well. But it didn't last. Paranoia, obsession, and fear of abandonment resurfaced, intensifying my drinking. One night, a simple plan for a few beers turned into chaos. I woke up covered in my own blood, driven to self-destruct. I ended up on a bridge, swaying perilously, determined to end my life. You might think such a traumatic experience would stop anyone from drinking, but the power of addiction is relentless. Before I finally woke up, I suffered toxic relationships, a near fatal car accident, the death of my dear friend Jason and a final fall even deeper into despair. Today, as I reflect on this journey, I can't help but marvel at the transformation. It's a testament to the incredible potential for change, even in the darkest of times. I'm living a good life now. Currently, I'm focused on reclaiming my mind after an eventful past couple of years. During this time, I embarked on a challenging journey of building a cabin in the woods. It was a period filled with stress, learning, and juggling multiple responsibilities, all while battling my alcoholism. I'm delighted to announce that we've finally moved in, and the house is about 90% complete. It's more than just a home; it's the safe haven I've longed for to address my addictions in a stable and secure environment. I now want to embody this in @thesobersuccess While there are always ups and downs, the fact that I can write from the serenity of an environment I built from the ground up hasn't fully sunk in yet. During the construction, I was often battling my demons, and to emerge on the other side and witness what we've created is nothing short of breathtaking. I'm filled with immense gratitude, and I'm looking forward to the future. Wishing you all a great day! Stay strong, Cam

@annkillion KD looks more and more like an empty suit as time goes on. Dude will make his money, but his legacy will be as an ambulance chaser.

Down at the half against a team that is playing their backup QB and missing their two starting WRs, LT, along with J.J. Watt, and you allow two touchdowns in a matter of minutes in embarrassing fashion AT HOME. This is rock bottom for the 49ers.

Both QB’s threw for 10x more yards than each teams “leading rusher”. Over/under on how many times we will see that from SF this year? #49ers
