The Norwegian Holocaust Center’s decision to host events drawing parallels between the Holocaust, the “Nakba,” and the war in Gaza is a grotesque distortion of Holocaust memory. It dishonors the memory of more than 750 Norwegian Jews murdered by the Nazis and their Norwegian collaborators, and betrays the very purpose for which this institution was established. A center founded to preserve Holocaust remembrance has chosen political activism over historical responsibility. This is not education. It is moral failure. The planned events should be cancelled immediately, and the center must return to its core mission: safeguarding Holocaust remembrance and confronting antisemitism - not legitimizing its modern forms.

The reason Britain’s relationship with the US is in the toilet is because Starmer played student politics for his own political survival. Granting access to use our bases was a simple courtesy (as the Americans pay for them!). It didn’t mean entering the war. Keir said No to butter up his left wing and so we have alienated the one guarantor of our national security. Without the US we don’t have an independent nuclear deterrent. This stupidity has made Keir feel popular (er, no) but will cause numerous knock-on effects. Emboldening our enemies- Russian subs in the North Sea - for one. Trump is a grudge bearer and we are in trouble.

Honestly, I don’t think Keir Starmer should lose his job over Peter Mandelson. If Keir Starmer were to lose his job it should be because he has presided over a flatlining economy, higher inflation, failed energy policy, insane asylum policy, and the collapse of British housebuilding. Standing for election, he promised to supercharge growth by banishing the blockers and getting Britain building. What has actually happened? Housebuilding has collapsed. No serious blocker busting reform has been enacted. Last year just 5,547 new homes were started in London. That’s compared to Labour’s own (reduced) target of 88,000 per year. This is an abject failure on an issue that Labour convinced many they would deliver fundamental change. And almost no one is talking about it. The only change has been downwards. If our politics were serious, that is what Starmer would be booted out over.
