I was a big fan of Emil Andrae. I understand the size factor and not wanting to have half of your defense on the smaller side, but I just think there's a player there.

The Flyers have acquired S. Benoît and Joseph Woll from the Maple Leafs in exchange for E. Andrae, S. Ersson and a 3rd round draft pick. Emil Andrae is a very good 3rd pairing puck-moving defenseman, but Tocchet didn't like him. Andrae could be a good add for Toronto.

@afern_alex @FlyerFan177 @dalves2381 I don’t see a world where York, Drysdale and Andrae stay here, one will be gone this summer. Defense takes time to develop so I think jiricek starts with the team next year and bonk stays in the A. You need guys like Seeler
