$BTC pumped today after oil dropped below $100/barrel. US markets turned green. How long will it last? Nothing has changed on the macro or geopolitics front. #BTC is once again trading below the $69k resistance level. Looks like a bull trap to me after the rejection at $73k.

As expected, $BTC was rejected at $72k-$73k. Price has broken and confirmed back below $69,000 in a V-shaped reversion. We have some support at $65,000 followed by $62,800. Further downside is expected during the following weeks. Macro data isn’t helping the markets at all, and it seems it’s not going to get any better in the near term.

On one hand, this is bearish as it shows a weakening economy trying to stay afloat. This would help the Fed lower rates to stimulate the economy. On the other hand, oil prices are surging faster, which will drive inflation up sharply near-term. This will pressure the Fed to keep rates as they are or even hike them if inflation gets out of control, which could risk damaging an already weak economy even more. My take: Oil prices are hitting harder right now, so rates will stay as they are. Expect more red days for US stocks and $BTC.
